Bosch Professional GSB-2-Li-Plus
Powerful, high performance combi drill with compact design and low weight to aid handling. Features electronic cell and motor protection against overload, overheating and deep discharge, increasing the lifetime of both battery and motor. Supplied with blow-moulded carry case and charger.
Only if you need the bigger battery I would guess. You'd need to have a lot of screws to screw though.

Personally, I'd go for two (albeit smaller capacity) batteries as:
1. The smaller capacity batteries are lighter and therefore you'd be more agile with the drill and won't get arm/hand fatigue.
2. The smaller capacities are quicker to charge.
3. You can have one battery on charge whilst using the other in a drill. If you only have one battery then it is game over (but yes, drill time will be longer with the higher capacity battery).

It's only worth getting the 4 Ah if you'll be using it on a daily basis such as being in the construction trade on tools. Otherwise, this package is better for the keen DIYer.
Good make and will last a while.

Great drill for the diy'er but not professionals
I'm a locksmith and gave this drill a try when it was £99 as me dewalt batteries were failing. It's nice and light and the batteries hold a decent charge but it just isn't powerful enough for anything other than being a screwdriver or some light drilling work.
For around the house i imagine it'll be good enough for most people but mine is now in the van as a backup and i've had to buy a proper dewalt replacement.

Not sure why you found that. The torque on these is something like 67Nm so plenty. I have one (Dynamic series) and so far have not been able to defeat it. Great piece of kit.
On a slightly different note, once bought make sure you register it on the Bosch website for the 3 yr wattanty.

I am sure this is the one I got last time if was on offer. fantastic drill and having the two batterys is very handy. powerful for most jobs. it did struggle with 200ml screws into railway sleepers until I pre drilled the hole with a small wood bit.

I picked up this similar one on Prime Day for £58.99 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00L3XK06C ... (OOS now and back at £74) .. Nice and light, feels pretty solid. Needed it to replace my Parkside Lidl one which ceased up from the looks of things. One minute it was working fine, went to get a few more deck boards, came back and didn't work again.. can't even turn the chuck any more. Weird! While it did work it was great, but considering the amount of use its had, it wasn't that much.
Hope the Bosch ones live up to expectations

Wireless eh? ... make sure it supports WEP, WPA/WPA2 encryption at the least... you don't want someone remotely activating your drill machine without you around
Just kidding, know you meant cordless :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok,
I am very tempted to get this but just a little concerned that only the 4.0 Ah batteries are for sale at a hefty £50 while you can pick up makita batteries from £22 (for 2.0 Ah)
makes me think the Makita (though slightly more expensive) is a better buy especially when you want to replace batteries in a couple of years .... ?

This comes with 2 batteries, that should be enough for most heavy DIY'ers surely? I've the Bosch with 1.5Ah batteries and it claims that it will do 300 screws on a full charge, I expect the 4.0Ah might do more.

Can anyone recommend a good quality screwdriver bit set that would fit this drill?
