Got one of these especially for my car I like many detail their car using a snow foam pre wash so it's perfect. I have a more powerful pressure washer also but get it anywhere near a chip of paint on modern cars and it will strip the paint back further. If you can use a pressure washer ALONE to totally clean your car then you must have something rather special!! Pressure washers alone do not clean cars

got one of these today great little jet wash for less than half the price of others. Does exactly what it's meant to do and you can get a 6m hose extension from Argos for £14.99 and probably cheaper from elsewhere

Almost all stores have stock of this line - however their is a glitch within B&Q stock systems, if you use the online stock checker it only shows in stock for the stores this pressure washer is listed, not what stores physically have stock. over 6.6K pcs in stores.

Do you used the supplied 'high pressure detergent system' or have you bought a separate lance for when you use snow foam? I'm interested in starting out with snow foam guns. Cheers.

Hoping this will suit me as I don't have outside tap. May be a stupid question but rather than using a bucket or butt, could you fill a bath and run hose from that to the pressure washer so you have more volume?
Just a case of dropping the hose under the water level and the unit will siphon the water out or would some kind of pump / connector be needed?

3 Jul 161#25
It's what you do with it that counts. Or so I've been told...

3 Jul 16#24
The idea looks interesting but over complex and asking to go wrong, the lance and hose ( which will have the electrical cable attached unless it wireless communicates to the washer ) will only be available from karcher and cost a small fortune, plus lances and hoses get thrown around and generally have a hard life.

dont want to knock the original deal as, for the money, you can't go too far wrong.... but I thought this was a good deal.

Bought this today, priced on shelf as £47 but scanned at £36. Just done half the garden with it, stripped away the grime on the concrete really well. It did take a little longer than my last one as I had to hold it closer to the ground in order for the pressure to be substantial enough to remove the grime. But great deal at this price. Thanks OP!

3 Jul 161#13
Too right. Why on earth would you risk using a pressure washer on a car when a decent hose jet will do the job just as well but without the risk of stripping away paintwork?

Are you trying to flense you car down to the metal! I only use my pressure washer on the car when it's at its most diffuse, or if I'm trying to clean the wheels. You don't need a powerful washer for your car. That's silly.

Other lance's like the Bosch Roto Lance make a big difference if they are compatible, i have this lance on my other more powerful Bosc and its 20 time more effective than the standard fan lance.

Only thing i will say pictures on the box suggest this could be used independently from the mains water supply, (ie: from a bucket etc) i did try it but this didn't work, unless i had not primed it properly. Might try it again now i have used it on the mains but highly doubt it.

Don't think any of the cheaper ones will feed from a bucket, I have a Karcher one that cost nearly £200 that does that, but a waste of time as the bucket is empty in no time .
haritori to hkphooey
3 Jul 16#8
Yeah your supposed to attach it to a water butt or such a bucket will last you about 10 seconds.

You can certainly have too much pressure, my father once told me while he was working at a marina, his boss's son managed to strip a load of paint off his new car by using their commercial pressure washer to try to clean it. The thing was normally used to strip barnacles and anti-fouling off hulls
I'd be wary about using the highest pressure diy ones on a car in case blasting the dirt and grit stuck to the car around causes scratches to the paintwork.

Yes true , didn't think it would to be fair ,but for giving a bike a quick wash and by using my extra large detailing buckets this would have been handy. Does give you the impression though on side of the box otherwise i wouldn't have tried it, so if people are looking on the box before hand thinking this is the case its maybe worth pointing out.
