At that budget, you'll get much better bang for your buck by getting older refurbished flagship phones. You can pick up a Samsung Galaxy S5 with a 1 year warranty for around £130 on eBay. That is miles better than a Moto G in literally every category

The key thing with this phone is that it's sold by Amazon so you should have no problems if it goes wrong or even if you don't like it within the first 30 days. It can have dual SIM and microSD operating at the same time which is becoming unusual. I sent mine back because it was slow charging but I may have had a faulty one... but it did look good otherwise.

Is anyone else having battery problems? The battery is draining too too fast. This is my first android phone, I don't know what to do.

If you travel to the US / Canada then I would avoid as they are current switching off 2G and this phone doesn't have any North American 3G/4G frequencies (you might get very limited 4G coverage in where they have deployed 2600 MHz 4G in Canada)

I own this phone and recommend it highly. Just very hard to fault and I'm fussy. Zero problems, nice and fast, minimal Android install so no bloatware to remove.

Agreed.
I prob would have bought this if it had been this price. But it cost me £3 to get an unlock code on eBay and the missus is happy with her new huawei...

Yeah true but some of the phones can be had from UK sellers at decent prices, I've added an example.
Personally for a reasonably decent UK sourced phone I'd probably take the better spec over an Amazon supply and returns, but Amazon fulfilment is a good first step for someone unfamiliar with the cheaper brands.

Here's a list of somewhat comparable phones on Kimovil:
It has LTE bands 3, 7, 20, 38 & 40 so providing you are on EE (3,7), O2 (3, 20), Vodafone (1, 3, 7, 20) or Three (3, 20) (or one of the companies that use their networks like giffgaff or tesco) then it should work on 4G in the UK.

Which ones? It has all the UK 4G ones

Negative. Missing UK bands. This phone is made for working in China not UK.

some of the reviews say it comes with a screen protector and a case
I decided to go with this and was pleasantly surprised that the student discount is applied to the full price before the £50 off so an extra saving of £2.50 for students

Removable battery, dual sim, microSD slot, 2GB Ram... Nice price if you don't "need" a flagship.

probably talking out of my rear, but would worry me how much they would have spent on r&d on the affects on a metal casing and network signals.

Just like my Samsung Galaxy A3.... pathetic signal strength as a result of the metal case...two bars lower than other phones in lower signal areas..

Have a look at the Huawei P8 Lite, can be had for £80 on vodafone - I got one for the missus and seems decent phone (16GB + memrpy card, 2GB RAM). Guess it depends what you plan to use it for.

Anyone out there knows of a decent replacement for a moto G for around £100 and a good battery life? Mine struggles now with 1G of Ram and 8G of memory...

Smart Ultra 6 is the obvious choice. Has it's downsides for some such as large size Etc, but can't really get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

Half decent phone for the price but be warned, screen doesn't come with any kind of scratch resistance so it marks very very easily. Screen protector is definitely needed with this, and a good one.

Not a bad phone for the money. I bought the Windows version some time back as temp replacement. Still going strong despite the beatings it gets from the kids. Heat op.

Well suppose it can not be as bad as the £300.00 Amazon Fire they flogged me.heat added.
