Good post!
I've got a Tesco TV and they are fine for the money - Sound is ok too imo not great but loud enough for the bedroom.
Picture is great though! Netflix HD looks great
The remote is a bit slow or the tv to respond but you cant knock for £159!

This or seiki one?

I posted the Seiki deal 2+ months ago to replace a 39" Blaupunkt.
The Seiki has surpassed itself in my eyes.
But the Blaupunkt is £20 less, so I'd go for it if costs is a bug factor. If I needed 2 TVs, I'd go one of each

I've ordered one, what's the plug situation, I believe the cable is hard wired but is the plug molded or swappable?
AdamBrunt to dcx_badass

What difference does it make ?? It is just as easy to replace a molded plug as it is a swappable one.

Cutting the cable normally voids the warranty though.

Possibly a bit big for where I want it but the TV is fantastic, even plays H265 HEVC files with the built in player. Some Tesco reviews say there is a firmware bug that can stop it turning on and an update fixes it. I did the update and it put me on a lower firmware version. Still works though, I might email them about that.

I currently power my two screens off a Y cable with the standard PC IEC/C13 Cable. I've run out of plugs so was going to take this plug off and fit a female C14 to use with my existing C13, have since found these which will solve my problem.

I got one but had to return it as it wouldn't power up. I also tried the software upgrade but no luck. I have returned mine for a replacement.
