The unit will stay normally until dawn or until the charge's used within the batteries. The three solar panels are on top of each of the lamps.

So it stays on until daylight/morning? Where abouts are the solar panels on this?

Does this have a PIR sensor that triggers light to turn on or is it a dusk till dawn light, also where are the solar panels located? Thanks.

it turns itself on at dark via a sensor in solar panel

I also got a pair of these last year. They're still working as well as when I got them, but they're very bad. Light output is terrible even for solar LED. Maybe I should try the upgrading batteries trick.

The same ones that if you look on YouTube you can open with very little trouble.
Also insurance will cover a break in with a smashed windows, but will giggle when the thief has used a key. Lol.

Or why not just use the hammer to smash the window if you're going down that route

Any good for providing light for a key safe?

You mean to show everyone where it is so they can come with their hammer and get your door keys?

I wouldn't think so - the light's more for a decorative use than you light up an area close to the lamp.

I bought three of these last year and still going strong. You're NEVER going to get the same level of luminance compared to mains powered lights so don't go buying them thinking you can. I'm over the moon with mine which deliver a nice decorative light and the best thing about them is that you can replace the AAA batteries which power the LED when they give up the ghost. I replaced the batteries which came with the units with higher-powered ones. Top buy! Thanks OP!

Bought one of these however the light given off was not bright at all. Looks great during the day. Had to replace.

it's 4 quid. Either buy one or don't.
