Both good prices, I know people are getting tired of remasters but with regards to this one:

I kind of like some of the remasters, only if done right, updated engine, I'm loving the dead island remake since its been updated with dying light enhanced engine. Bethesda with skyrim can **** off, lazy ****

This will be the first time I buy a remaster of a game(s) I've played before, they're just that good - even the artwork on the box is beautiful

Heat for the price, hopefully this looks like a top PC version back in the day at least and not a PS3 port only.

I'm sorry, this isn't a deal. As mentioned it's cheaper at Base and it's even cheaper at Gameseek.

im not going to get this until it gets to £20 - the same point i got nathan drake collection - however a 11 quid a game is fantastic value, especially if you haven't played them. even 2 is very good, the only drawback for me was how much of the story was learnt via the lengthy multiplayer campaign.

Completely agree, they'd have been better off remastering Oblivion. That would have gone down an absolute storm, shame they're too short sighted in that regard.

That already exists, it's called playing it on PC with mods.

I'm quite aware, I meant for the console market... As clearly remastering for the PC is a pointless endeavor as it's been done by modders (which is fine)

Didn't know they were remastering these, loved all 3, ordered from base

Bethesda hates console gamers, that's why. Why else would they launch a game that ran at 20fps on PS4?
VivaLaJam26
8 Jul 16#23
It's a little bit annoying that this is happening. I'm not against remasters if they are like halo 2A and Rachet & clank. But when all the devs have done is update the textures (in case of infinite, not on PC) and selling it for a full price game, it's not great, especially now that the Xbox supports 360 games, all 2K would have to do is give permission to MS to make it work.
Spark
8 Jul 16#24
Actually it's both yes and no. They're not touching infinite on the PC and you also need to own all of the dlc to qualify.

I just have to say btw that Bioshock 1 and Bioshock Infinite are two of my favourite games of the last gen (I despised Bioshock 2) but in no universe is this worth 34 quid.

For some reason, Sony gamers have always got the short end of the stick with Bethesda games. From memory, a lot of issues were left unfixed on Oblivion that were fixed on both the PC and 360 versions (vampirism bug being one of the major ones), Skyrim was initially a mess, hence the half price dlc. Seems they're struggling to get mods to a decent working level on FO4.
I didn't include FO:NV in the examples above because that became a lottery on all platforms once they introduced a certain dlc with regards to crashes and freezes in the strip. No idea if FO3 sucked compared to the 360 and PC versions.

It'll be £15 within a month of release - it's not like anyone missed these by being on the wrong platform, only by being too young :stuck_out_tongue:

They've mostly been made available free or at dirt cheap prices at some point on the 360, PS3 and PC though. If you really still want to play them then you might as well just get those versions.
The first Bioshock especially would need a massive mechanical overhaul to bring it up to 2016 standards.

8 Jul 16#30
The PS3's design was never conducive to the way that these games or their engine (Gamebryo) worked. IIRC correctly the PS4 actually got the best console version of FO4 although both console versions of that game weren't up to much really.

You don't need to own any of the dlc to qualify, the base games are enough (unless things have changed again recently)

I know he's trolling but I can't resist.
Gotta love glitchy mods, that use all your resource because they are not optimised correctly and created by amateurs. Mods, schmods. By the way before you give me the 'master race' lecture I am a PC games player and I think Mods are overrated. DarthMod for Total War games and game fixing mods. Yep great. Stupid physics mods. Pointless. Graphics upgrade mods. 9 times out of 10 are a ballache to install and if they work they crash your game or break it completely.
I compare PC Mods to the iOS/Android Apps market place. A handful of useful apps among thousands of pointless rubbish.

I've never understood all the hate for Bioshock 2. I guess it was a little difficult to live up to the first one. I never liked Infinite - it looked pretty but I never got the story and I guess Bioshock to me will never be the same unless it's in Rapture.
Bioshock 2 has one secret weapon in this collection. Minerva's Den DLC, one of the best pieces of DLC ever to be released. It tied the whole underwater adventure up in a brilliant way. Ok, we will not be getting the multiplayer that was featured in Bioshock 2 but that's not really a big miss. Minerva's Den would have been.
