Bioshock was probably my favourite game last generation. I would love to give it another go but I'll wait a while.

Your right, we don't see big online petitions or the like demanding games be remastered. I can only deduce that it must be so risk free by being cheap to remaster, that's it's worth their time doing it.

Yup, and I'd never pay something like £33 for one of these remasters, when the effort put in is nowhere near as much as that on the originals.

First game amazing. Second decent. Third I didn't care for. But I played and completed all of them. If for some strange reason you haven't played them, for the 3 games it's decent value. But it will be 20 quid or less in very little time.

Easy money though, just dig out the PC code and update the effects library to give it a modern sheen.
Unlike previous hardware generations the XBox One and PS4 are perfectly design to make these remasters an easy task.

Even titles like Uncharted and God of War will be less complicated than you might expect. The original assets will be extremely high quality but paired back and tweaked due to performance issues on the older hardware.

The same thing will happen when the consoles move to 4K, the perfect time to re-release The Witcher 3, Fallout 4 and Rocket League for some risk free cash!

I can remember being a kid and liking a song or a movie that I thought was new and cool and my dad telling me he remembered the original. this instantly made me like it less...

It is amazing that they continue to keep making these remastered games despite no public demand for them. They must be making a huge loss each time.

Does this mean that mean bioshock 1,2,3 is not coming to backwards Compatibility for xbox after all?

To be honest, Dave. It's been listed by 365Games, Gameseek and (I think) Base for a few days now. They're all literally the same price, give or take a quid. Shopto have it listed at £37.85 (it was marginally cheaper a few days ago).

With the three retailers having it at this price, I fully expect it to be around it's RRP, if not lower. I don't think Amazon have it listed just yet, only time will tell.

2 and a half years in and we're still getting last gen games on current gen consoles.

Because it's cheaper and less time consuming to reheat old games. then make a whole new game from the ground up apparently
