Looks decent for just over £100 as £130+ from other sites.

I would ban word "gaming" for all monitors under 120 Hz refresh rate.

So it's a "gaming" monitor :smirk:

Its a regular monitor. Its a good monitor, but there's nothing super special for gaming about it. I game a lot, and I don't care about "gaming" monitors, but I still wouldn't expect to see this sold as one.

What makes it great for gaming is the input delay, this isn't to be confused with refresh speed, input delay is the time it takes to process external input into the screen, you can read more about it on http://www.displaylag.com/what-is-input-lag-the-breakdown/ - this monitor has one of the lowest input delays for a 24" screen, making it one of the best on the market for gaming, outside of that, yes, it's just a normal monitor combined with the amazingly low input delay it's amazing for this price.

I didn't say 1080 games, I said content, so this would include something like the blu-ray player.

Except no games run at 1080p on the 360. Not even close.

Oh right I should have looked for a std definition TV for gaming?
Then I suppose when I want to see 1080 content I should go buy something else, in addition to the SD TV?
Maybe something 1920 x 1080? And 24 inch just the right size for my 'viewing area'? Oh wait...

Why would someone need a TV tuner for a games console? So they are obligated to pay the license fee? Plus most people don't even use the tuners in their televisions as they have Sky/Tivo boxes. I also see a monitor as a good match for a games console.

No, someone with an 11 year old games console using a 1080p gaming monitor. I suppose that's the funny part.

G sync/freesync also makes games a lot smoother. Freesync can be had for a little more than this

Yes that bit is obvious. I still don't know what is so funny? Oh somebody with a gaming console using a gaming monitor! *shrug*

Screen tear is a product of how the GPU is sending and rendering the frames, not the monitor (unless it has G-sync or Freesync).
In other words, no it doesn't.

The idea that someone would use a monitor like with a 360 is humorous to me. Sorry.

Have to agree. I use 3 monitors 2 60hz and one 144hz and the difference is night a day.
To say it 'barely makes a difference' just means you have either never tried using 144hz or have no understanding about what it means :stuck_out_tongue:.

Unless you use 144Hz for gaming or PC work for while then you won't think it's a big deal. But I changed from 60Hz to 144Hz and everything is just a lot smoother such as mouse movements and when it comes to gaming it definitely beats 60Hz. Whilst it is expensive, it is a good investment for PC gamers (not console) and I wouldn't turn back to 60Hz unless for a second monitor or a 4K monitor (in 2016) but never again for my main monitor.

144 Hz barely makes a difference, not sure why ppl brag on about it. I have this monitor, crisp colours and 1ms refresh rate, screen tear happens a lot less in comparison to others

I have this monitor and an xbox 360. Hardly ever got MVP but with this get it now and again. Did make a difference. Still get stupid lag now and then but I know its down to something else.

There's an Amazon Warehouse very good condition being sold for £96 right now. Personally bought this for a shade over £100 again as a VGC warehouse item and I can't fault it. Using with Xbox one currently

As far as I know PS4 only outputs in 60hz, so you don't need 120Hz or 144Hz monitor. I'm a PC gamer and have 144Hz display, and the difference between 60 and 144Hz is huge. So for PS4 this one is probably fine.
