These are great if you have a mischievous crawling age baby and have to leave the room to either go for a wee or answer the front door! At least you know they're not going to come to any harm in the playpen

And the garden is a place for them to play in? and the driveway is a place for the kids to play on? Not sure houses were disigned primarily for kids to play in.
Are you locking the baby up when you stick them in a baby carrier or pushchair.

my Partner has a huge scar over his arm, as a toddler he tipped a pot of boiling water over himself, bet his mum regrets not having a play pen/jail & not having locked her son up!

We moved house when our son was 18 months old, we bought one of these and it was perfect, could put Dylan in it and then we knew he was safe while all the doors etc were open for the removal men to go in and out to the van. They serve a purpose.

you don't make you're kids safe by locking them up, you make them safe by not letting them out of your eye sight.

Ps. When you tell people they make no sense make sure your own sentences make sense. Whatsoever is one word. what so ever is three words that make no sense used together.

These are a must when you need to do housework and want to know your child can play safely I had the same opinion as some on here that they are like animal cages that's until I had a child!

I'm not a mother but wonder about the logistics of having a couple children and when you need a wee/to answer the door/cook etc. and not let them out of your sight. Is this actually possible?!
I suppose either you have to swoop the kids up from wherever they're playing/sleeping/whatever and with one pair of hands that would be nigh on impossible with more than one child, or you pop them in one of these playpens to keep them safe, or you leave them where they were.
Surely a playpen is the safest option?
My nephews loved theirs as they could play with their toys, uninterrupted from the dog or annoying people like me who picked up a yellow cup when it was clearly not mine to play with etc or accidentally knocked down the tower of blocks (ooohhhhh big mistake). The whole time they were in the huge playpen they were being watched and talked to.
It was a safe place whilst my sister was cooking or going to the loo etc. Her hubby was away (Royal Marines) so she was effectively a single mum with one pair of hands.

Also, who are you to judge another parent for doing what they think is the best, and safest, thing for their child?!
No parent is perfect but those buying these are thinking about their children and trying their best.
It's the scummy parents who don't give a crap about their kids and let them dangerously wonder about everywhere that you need to worry about.
