Dual Fan. Cheapest for this model, and Asus are the best for graphics cards in my opinion. It's sold by amazon BUT the card will take 1 to 2 months to be dispatched so if you want it right now, you might want to get another card. Scan are selling this card for £287.49 including delivery.

I have one of these ordered before they added the 'usually delivered in 1 to 2 months' note but I think that's just standard OOS message as I've seen things marked with that in stock 2 days later. Anyway, I contacted Amazon for an ETA and the support guy said he didn't have one just yet but he contacted the 'buying team' who will apparently reply to me with an ETA in the next 48 hours. I'll update here when I get a reply
UPDATE: Estimated arrival date: August 17 2016 - September 15 2016
A bit disappointing to be honest but it seems ASUS haven't even shipped any of these cards yet.
UPDATE 2:
To anyone still interested I got another reply from Amazon:
"They have informed that we have been informed by the suppliers that we can expect the item in stock well between the date August 3, 2016-August 6, 2016."

This is their standard dual not the OC one, so it's the £275 one at scan. Anyways its still a very good price.

I have been keeping my eye on amazon for a few days, over the past couple of days, firstly a picture was added, then a day later the pre order message changed to 1 - 2 months.
My past experience with a Amazon 1-2 month dispatch often leads to a much much quicker dispatch time.
I have some gift vouchers and some free credit due to the past few weeks of free offers with topping up with 30 pounds of gift cards and signing up for 30 days with Audible, so 225 seems like a fair price, but I can't help thinking a freebie game might well end up been bundled with AMD and nvidia cards at some point....

26 Jul 16#15
But if you check scans site the oc version is a few pounds more, I'm guessing the oc price is about right on scans site the non oc price is overpriced.
Cool, perhaps just a tad over 3.5x the price of a 1060
revolver31
26 Jul 16#19
Believe that if you wish, I've been through all this on other 1060 deals, the card is well considered a £200 card, but its your money buddy, and ye I think the price will drop, even more so that more are favouring the rx480 over this, when this does drop to £200 then NVidia will likely take the mainstream market from amd but that will only happen when every company has an abundance of stock.

This is a £240 card that is nigh on as fast as a GTX980 (that has less VRAM) which you would have paid an easy £300 for just 3-4 months ago. I can't understand so many of the complaints.
fishmaster to vulcanproject
26 Jul 16#36
Aye it's stupid. If you choose the RX480 or GTX1060 you can't go wrong. I can't remember article but a meta review of all GTX1060 reviews gave the GTX1060 overall a positive performance improvement of 7% over the RX480. The 4GB RX480 is a bit of a bargain, however you'd have to consider the lack of VRAM when purchasing.
ChewHair to vulcanproject
27 Jul 162#51
Because its an *60 card for *70 money, performing at almost old *80 levels.
So for the same money you used to pay for a 970 you get almost 980 performance. Which is the usual expectation for a new card. Nvidia have managed to get people over excited because they think they have released a 980 for 960 money which they haven't. If it had released at £175 and we could expect it to drift down to £150 I'd have been excited. I now have to wait to see what happens with then 1050.

vulcanproject
27 Jul 162#52
Nvidia haven't managed to set your expectations, you have. You're simply caught up on naming conventions and your own expectations which are incorrect. It doesn't matter what Nvidia have called it, they have altered their naming/pricing structure several times over the years.
You somehow think that there is a rigid pricing structure and that an Nvidia GTXx60 series card has always cost this identical amount you cite and that it has always performed as good as a previous high end card (hence the expectations) but it's nonsense.
You have to take every generation as it comes. In this case here is a card as fast as a GTX980 with more memory for at least £60 less. Which is a good deal.
Just buy an RX 480 if you think it isn't. It costs less, but guess what? It isn't as fast. That is how this works.
I agree that model and pricing stuctures change over time but model numbers are a marketing tool. The marketing spin is that the 1060 replaces the 960 and the fan boys are swallowing that. It was my expectation that based on cost it was a replacement for the 970 and guess what the new card performs one "tier" higher than the card it replaces. The RX 480 8GB performs the same and costs the same performance analysis. I understand why people pay the early adopter premium for top end cards, gotta have the fastest, but mid range cards are supposed to be for people who have more sense than money. I'll be waiting to see where we are towards the end of the year.

vulcanproject
28 Jul 161#57
I haven't seen any marketing spin from Nvidia that the GTX1060 directly replaces the GTX960. It shares a number to signify it's arrangement in Nvidia's new lineup. That's it. Let me show you an Inno3D slide (one of Nvidia's primary partners actually selling the models)
This slide clarified before even GTX1070 and 1060 launch that the third card in the 10x0 (the GTX1060) series was not actually directly replacing the GTX960 yet!
What Nvidia said on launch was that it had the power of GTX980, which in fairness to them, it pretty much does. That was their comparison. Go here, and go down to the full slide deck of Nvidia's own presentation. The ONLY previous generation card mentioned is the GTX980.
Can you put to rest your unfounded allegations now that Nvidia have misled potential buyers about what the GTX1060 was going to be before launch, and is now?
RX 480 is slower than a GTX1060. It's as fast (and sometimes faster) in very very few select DX12 titles particularly using the vulkan API which is heavily based on AMD's work, but everywhere else, GTX1060 is faster. I can cite multiple reviews and outlets. You can google them yourself.
