Looks decent spec, the TN panel version is roughly the same price from elsewhere. Which is a 2ms panel, where this is 4ms... Not that it would make that much difference for most folks.

Very nice, nothing beats how good an IPS monitor looks, except and an IPS 144Hz monitor.

Love IPS, can't go back :/ Some nice TN panels around though.

Have a 144Hz TN next to an IPS and I'm torn which one to use as the IPS looks so good but at the same time 144Hz make such a difference too. All I want now is something that combines the two.

Yep! Hopefully we'll get something reasonably priced that gives us the best of both worlds. Hooked on 21:9 at the mo, so I want that too

I had the Pg278q from Asus which was a 8 bit tn panel, as far as tn panels go the colour was very impressive. Swapped it for the IPS Pg279q and man does it look nice, playing rocket league in 1440p, 165hz and IPS it really is a feast for the eyes.

The stand looks a bit basic - i.e. not height adjustable - but it's a bargain regardless at this price.

Yeah! Some of the TN panels are super nice nowadays, for sure. Rocket league <3

I have this monitor and its fantastic. The only minor gripe is the lack of height adjustment and glossy black plastic, but cant beat the price for IPS 1440p goodness.

Tempted but worried about what Acer's own store is like in terms of dead pixels/backlight bleed.

I thought IPS screens were terrible for gaming, is this true?
I would of been interested if it wasn't true but the price has gone up £50 anyway.

you need to use discount code MONITOR-50 at the checkout and you get it for £219

As chezz mentioned you need to pop code: MONITOR-50 in at the checkout.
Also IPS monitors are fantastic for gaming, most people have a bit of an issue as they tend to be ms wise.
4ms is absolutely fine! I'm using a 21:9 29" IPS 5ms Panel and am loving it.

No, not at all.
TN displays do have better G2G times(basically motion clarity), but it's not significant. I would never, ever trade IPS color reproduction for a very minor improvement in motion clarity, but that's my own preference. Some people might be sticklers for that sort of thing.

Forgive my ignorance but would this be a good monitor to use with PS4 or Xbox One or is it for more powerful PCs given the resolution? Any advice greatly appreciated.
as I'm looking for a 144Hz Freesync monitor, it hasn't made things any easier to be honest. It seems that not all 144Hz Freesync monitors actually run at 144Hz and often drop off their performance significantly. I've considered this one, just I could get a really nice 34" Monitor for that sort of money.
Aw man I was just looking for a 27"1440p IPS and this fits the bill nicely but appears to be OOS? Add to basket button nowhere to be found.... :disappointed:
