The original is a good starting point but I always thought Armageddon was the best. The newer ones are good due to the commentary and gameplay though.

Get an Amiga emulator & play the original. Sheep bomb, the best weapon in any game ever.

Banana bomb or Concrete Donkey make the sheep bomb look like the old lady.

The Banana Bomb is in the original too and is easily the best weapon. The Sheep is a gimmick and always has been.

Agree on the banana bomb, especially in Armageddon when you use the Fiddler to increase the number of clusters, blast radius, damage and bounce. You could easily destroy a map on the first go.

Wow, heated debate on worms weapons. I had forgotten the banana bomb though. My Amiga is out of the garage now, just prepping a CF card for it to boot off of.

The Minigun was crazy if you changed the blast radius and firing arc. You could literally gun down 90% of the terrain in one volley when firing from the side of the battlefield.

Or up the damage and force on the poke and baseball bat for extra laughs.

Holy Hand Grenade from Armageddon was one of my favourites.

Don't think the original has aged very well. Worms 2/Armageddon is still very much worth playing though.

Not that Worms was ever intended to be well balanced but the Holy Hand Grenade was a good, fair weapon. Large blast but could only detonate on the ground.
Opening post
Worms, PC game from waaaaay back on Steam.

That is a bit too retro for me. Probably better off buying Clan Wars or Revolution Gold Edition for £2.84 each.
