No Freeview HD but then for this size at this price I don't think that would be a deal breaker, especially if you already have a set top box.

Doesn't the description say freeview HD tuner?

Thanks. It HAS free view HD. If you scroll down the Argos page on the full product description, it clearly says 'freeview HD'

Google the specs. You can't take anything Argos say seriously. They are consistently putting the wrong specs on their pages.

Don't think this is a seiki problem, I spent £900 on a 60" LG tv and the sound was rubbish, it's almost as though the manufacturers nowadays just include speakers because they have to - and they then know you'll fork out more cash on a soundbar

Why do Argos say out of stock for home delivery but allow to collect in store?
Sure I'll collect a 55" inch tv, let me just grab my bus pass.

I guess it's possible that all deliveries are handled by their distribution centres and individual stores don't deliver at all.

What's the returns policy like at argos? If I just decide I don't like the TV will I have issues getting a refund? Can't decide if this would be better than the 50" Polaroid from Asda at £249
kkthomask to mr.vibez
17 Jul 161#17
Return policy 30 days no q asked. beyond that, replacement/repair for faulty items for a year. you can take extended warranty before 30 days if you want.

Thanks. What's the viewing angle like on this. With the Polaroid, if you view it from the side, the colours get washed out. Does this suffer from the same?

Does anyone know the model number for this set?

The picture quality is quite good but the speakers is terrible. You definitely need a sound bar.

Ok initial impression is not good. Quite blurry with Standard definition. Bit of motion stutter on high definition. Certainly not a patch on my plasma. The Polaroid was better but the colours on that are a little off.

You say it's blurry whilst others are saying it's out of this world, which is it?

You really need to see TVs in th flesh. Image quality is very subjective

I have to agree. I bought this TV yesterday and the motion blur/lag when watching HD is quite noticeable. The sound is quite tiny, but slightly better depth with surround sound option turned on (however this made a buzzing noise). I will be returning this ASAP as it's not suitable for watching films IMO.
