Went to the Castleford one - it's ****. It advertises that it's for young and old - however the only accessible diggers are the smallest ones and even they are hobbled in some way (e.g. the ones you can actually dig with can't drive back or forward nor can you swivel left and right too far).
Other lowlights include the digger with several rows of benches that go up....stay up for a few minutes and then go down again, or my personal favorite, the 'Safari' which consists of a battered Toyota Landcruiser driving down a dirt track (no proper off roading), past various cardboard cutouts of animals.
On the plus side you could go in a full size digger at a measly £150!

One thing I miss about the children being grown up now, my yearly trip to Diggerland..... Great day out.

Strongly encourage a visit. Went to the Yorkshire location on Clubcard vouchers and we had a wonderful time. Unlike most amusement parks you get a decent amount of time on everything to the extent that you can easily spend a full day here even though there doesn't seem to be that much there. A warning, Children under 90cm are free because there is very little they can do. There are even higher height restrictions on other rides (I hesitate to use the word rides because they are actually real JCBs) so I would suggest that ages 8 to 16 are best suited.
