I noticed a few car lease sites have the same format as yes-lease. Is it a franchise?

I've just phoned them up to ask a couple of questions, all the standard paint colours have now gone there is now just a choice of two colours which are Deep Black (pearl) or Indium Grey both costing an extra £500+ so now making this deal £182.51 per month................hmmm :disappointed:

Think of the deposit like on a holiday. Do you get this back, no. Do you get to keep the holiday, no, just the memories, and lease dealing on a car is the same. You are just renting it and any money you fork out on it goes to the lease company. That's why it is essential to know the overall cost so you can divide by the lease period to give you the average cost per month.
I think this should be a disclaimer on all lease deals as every blooming time we get a lease deal we get the same old questions and it is so irritating. There, rant over. I hope I have enlightened the uninitiated.

At risk of getting flamed, I know **** all about leasing is the deposit returned upon the end of the lease or is it just a deposit that makes the monthly payments lower ?
encybrit58 to breezey3184

The deposit isn't returned. Dealers have many deals on the same car where you can choose how much you pay upfront and then pay a differing monthly payment in each case. It's up to you.

last week's offer: £2400 Deposit + (23 months x £106.9 8=£2460.54) +. £239.98 arrangement fee = £5100 5k annual allowance so with adjustment for additional 3k/annum @ 7.2ppm total = £5532 or £230.50/month. I jumped into that deal last week and I need to find a way of wriggling out of it after waiving my cooling off period as advised to by the rep to get the car in quicker... any ideas?

What's the difference between this and the Scirocco earlier in the week? Seems more expensive, is it a better model?

Don't say that around here - you'll get mocked, instead of an actual answer.

My first car was a Scirocco 1.6 GLi which had the same engine as the Golf GTi.
In those days there weren't speed cameras so you could enjoy putting your foot down more often than today.

I got hooked on Scirocco's back in '89, my then girlfriend had a Mk I 1.6 GL Auto. After uni, my first car was the MkII 1.6GT in Green with the black rubber wheel arch extensions to match the rubber spoiler. Then I had a 1.8GTX in all white, finally (about 10 years ago) I had an 84 Storm in Blue which I didn't use enough and the sills rotted away :disappointed:
I don't like the new ones. But still voted hot...

I had a 1976 Scirocco TS. The steering wheel had a Wolf in the centre rather than the VW symbol.

Actually the fun is when you drive it and then the lights suddenly come on automatically at certain speeds, you wonder what's going on to start with. Then realising that the lights come on for safety at over 140kmh

Oh dear, where do I begin? Firstly, I was mocking those who normally ask that question not knowing they don't own it. I know what the term 'lease' means. Secondly, why get a dictionary if I can use google? That defeats the purpose rendering it inane. Last but not least, learn to read properly. 'I'll say it before someone else does' did you overlook this? Or turn a blind eye to sound like a superhero? #dontreplyjustshhhh
