Tesco have moved their fee free balance transfer card from 21 months to 24 months - so 2 years 0% with no fee.
Best 2 year fee free balance transfer deal in my opinion as no additional conditions upon acceptance e.g. AA has a £500 min balance transfer condition and Halifax only guarantees the headline offer for a % of customers
£31.50 TCB as a bonus

Whether it'a good thing or not is open to conjecture but Tesco credit cards have very low %tage min monthly payback terms.

Can I get the credit card, and then I can use it whenever I like, and I don't get charged for 2 years? What happens after the 2 years? And what do people usually do after the 2 years?

Be warned the cashback takes months to come through.

f I already have a Tesco Credit Card, can I apply for another one?

Yes, subject to a successful credit check, and as long as you have not applied for a Tesco Bank credit card in the last month or have an application currently in progress, you can hold more than one credit card with Tesco Bank.

anyone know how I can predict what the limit they will offer? or how they work it out?

Depends on a number of factors so difficult to say as each lender has different scorecards and credit line strategies, but influencing factors will be:
- Balance Transfer intention - generally lenders will give you more credit limit headroom if you indicate in the application that you intend to do a balance transfer
- Your income vs your expenditure including debts held elsewhere e.g. how indebted you maybe. They will also use information available from credit reference agencies
Money for nothing  Thanks for posting

Have used them twice in the past.. excellent as long as you are within control to take advantage during promotional period and pay back.

I've had a quick look around the site but can't find any info on when this offer ends. Anybody any info on this?
Chanchi32 to jaffanator
8 Jul 161#28
No offer ends date I can see - usually depends on what the other card providers are offering and current trend has been fee free balance transfer offers getting longer.
That said given current economic environment and uncertainty I could see some of the lenders tighten up their credit policy and also reduce credit limits for new accounts, so maybe better getting a fee free balance transfer sooner rather than later if you are in the market to shift a balance.

I have an average credit history and never had a credit card before. They offered me ££3,700 which I gladly took to help improve my credit score. Keep the usage low to help improve your credit score.

Anyone know if it is possible to do a balance transfer from 2 different cards onto the new Tesco one or does it only allow you to do one single transfer from another card ?
Obviously providing the total transferred was within the set credit limit

Forgot to mention - you can also get 1000 Clubcard bonus points if an existing Tesco Bank cardholder refers you (they also get 1000 points)
You can do this retrospectively e.g. up to 2 months once the account is opened. This stacks on top of any cashback however Tesco have been very slow at crediting the points recently, reports of taking a few months and having to follow up with customer service
If I have just opened an account then and recommend a friend who opens an account , obviously we would both qualify for the points but could my friend then recommend me (retrospectively) so we get 2000 each for the 2 new accounts ?

Interesting question, reading the terms and conditions I cant see anything that would stop this.
However if for any reason they didn't credit the points they could argue that your friend was not an existing cardholder when you got the card. That said their terms and conditions don't cover this so should honour them.
Also if any problems go direct to the CEO customer service office, will be resolved much quicker [email protected]

Great deal; Thank you OP. I had a balance on another CC which was coming to the end of it's 0% period. Applied for the Tesco CC and got 19k credit limit in 5 minutes, wow! They also accepted the transfer from my other CC. A bit worrying that banks are giving out so much 'free' (before anyone jumps on this I mean 0% for 2 years) cash; trends of pre-2008 lending! My CC is going in the safe so that I am not tempted by the remaining 13k available credit on it. You get 3 months 0% balance transfers and also 1 month 0% on all purchases!

I've just done it and was thinking the same thing - I haven't swopped cards in a while and thought it would offer something like £3000 or £4000, I also got offered 19K - god grief! - I might ring them and get them to reduce it once it's set-up.

Happy days! Played this offer to the full advantage. As I already have Tesco cc I have referred my wife, got £33.30 TCB plus 1000 clubcard points each. Then she referred me so I applied for my second Tesco cc, again £33.30 TBC plus 1000 points each. All confirmed and applied to relevant accounts
Cheers OP!
