Sad face. But still, can't expect too much. It's a lot of flash memory on a USB stick.

I made the mistake of buying one of these a few months ago. Capacity is great and is good value if you're not bothered about performance. For me though, it annoys the hell out of me each time I copy files to it as it is just so damn slow - around 7mb/s write. It's even slower than a few my old USB 2 drives.

Consider it a USB 2 stick... still a good price for the size

I totally agree. Until someone posts to say the speeds are anywhere north of 40mb/s, I would consider these to be slow and USB 2. I have 2 older ones which are as quick as a whippet, but one I bought last month (and others will confirm) is utter pap, but cheap for 128GB.

Problem is with such a large drive, you're extra likely to want massive files on it. I know I would. I don't need lightning drives, a few seconds here or there don't bother me. But you know, 35mb/s+ write would be nice.
Just tested the write speed of this 128 Gb stick- 11 MBs in a USB 3 port with a 64 K block size. An 8 year old USB 2 in a USB 2 port is 10 MBs. Toshiba 64 Gb USB 3 was 38.3 MBs.
For the record, the write speed of the 128 Gb in my USB 2 port is 3.6 MBs.
Hey ho.
Also, package came from Switzerland, which was a surprise.
