Yeah I've noticed over the years that a good deal of people have had bad experiences with TCB so I avoided them for a good while and continued using Quidco. Started using TCB a year or so ago and it's been fine so far

people, put yourself in the shoes of these companies! if an affiliate won't pay up why should tcb or quidco pay you out of their own pocket?

Because they are owed money! Take them to court and pass on what is owed

and in my case, when its quidco who have screwed up by making a mistake, then why should the affiliate network pay, and why should I lose out?

TCB owed me £162 for a total of two contracts opened up with sky. this would have resulted in a rather good deal. it took me 6 months of constant arguing and proof being sent backwards and forwards and after all that they only gave me £52.80 back last week and didn't even apologise. Quidco usually give around 5%-10% less but there tracking and reliability really is worth it. Someone will probably tell me they are owned by the same company but regardless they do a better job.

agreed never had a problem with either site...i set up on Quidco in 2007 and have spent 12,000 through the site getting just under two grand in cashback..never once have i not been paid ..but sometimes had to log a ticket...so all in roughly 10% over the years..other have trumped this i know..but I'm not even that consistant ..usually only use it for big purchases...my advice is always clear cache/close browser/start from scratch - we often have hot deals open and may go to the site by mistake then shut that window and go through T.C /or Quidco which will cause issues...

I would strongly advise against using topcashback.co.uk as I have plenty of experience of being denied cash back/being ripped off from these crooks. Either don't count on cash back or use QUIDCO

Yeah, 'cos Quidco are brilliant, aren't they? Refused to give me a £5 amazon voucher unless I sent them a bank statement. That was the one and only time I ever tried to claim my cashback on Quidco and needless to say I stopped using them forthwith. Topcashback, on the other hand, have been exemplary, and even gave me half my cashback out of their own pockets when the National Lottery declined to pay.
Horses for cousres I s'pose.

Yep, love TCB too. Approaching £3000 from them in about 6 years, had a few issues with stuff not tracking but can only think of one occasion where I missed out on about £20 because the retailer said I'd used a different affiliate (but couldn't say which one).

TCB have always been great for me, until about 3 months ago and since then got 4 high value claims in with them. Nothing seems to track and thas using a clean browser each time, same as I always have.
Not as bad as quidco and my casino.com claim from May last year, all the evidence points to a quidco screw up but they keep saying it was casino.com even though I pretty much have evidence otherwise. The only response I get is 'our directors are speaking to the affiliate network, now I can speak to someone at awin in about 10 mins, so sure quidco have had time in 14 months.

I'm quite surprised about the bad reports for TCB, I have been using it for a few years and I'm quite happy with it. The issues I have had were due to the adblock in my phone and not TCB's fault. Also, I have had success when I made claims for missing cashback. This may help some people having issues with TCB:
I use Adaway on my phone, when I want to do a cashback, I disable Adaway, restart my phone, do cashback, enable Adaway then restart phone. Seems like a lot but it is a sure way to ensure my adblock does not prevent the cashback from tracking.

Also had bad experiences with Topcashback, started off good few years ago but in last year had lots turned down without good cause, whenever they've offered really high rate like on Vodafone etc they've found a way to weasel out of paying it. Going to try Quidco.

The only time I had a problem it was the retailer pushing back not TCB. I upgraded a load of phones at once and Carphone warehouse didn't like paying out a few hundred to me in one go until I proved I was actually legit

Exactly the same here, they always lay the blame with the retailer. I believe they are pocketing it themselves. There is no way I know to contact the retailer affiliate and check up on them.

£10 cash back on a £10 fuel spend? Well that doesn't add up for a start. Maybe they are using money ripped off from mugs like me to fuel their shameless promotion to get more mugs on board. Don't bother signing up to these con artists

Not to relied on, but great when it pays out.
