These are better than bolts, but a bit of a pain if the mechanism breaks. Had to cut through a few of these with a jigsaw, two of our own and one for a neighbour, fortunately without harming the doors.

I had to cut through the bolt from the inside where you can see it in the gap between the door and the jam, the front stop edge of the frame molding is in the way on the outside.

The rack the key engages had snapped off in all three cases so the doors couldn't be opened. Providing the bolts slide freely they should be ok, but if the door warps in damp weather making the bolt slightly stiff, then they may eventually break, or at least that's what happened to one of mine on a couple of occasions and to one of my neighbours.

Got plastic doors now, with those ill designed eurolocks.

Dont get these locks. You can use a tweezer to open the doors with these locks!!

Simply abolishing child benefit for those who get tax credits would have paid that 10 billion to the EU every year, and no yearly rises unlike child benefit.



The United Kingdom may end up being N.I and Scotland because each own a quarter - a vote out EU has also the purpose of out of the UK and thus Commonwealth they want to forge relationships with, but dont bank on the politicians telling you any of the above.

Child passported benefits have bankrupt the UK, not working adults of any birth status, most of those in receipt of such benefits voted out instead of realising they bankrupt the country and now second generation tax credit state dependent parents cant get houses and state nursery places and youth unemployment is high, let the Tories sell England down the river just like the NHS - instead of them & Labour telling you the electorate the truth - Child Tax Credits were never affordable at 3 x the cost of Child Benefit, but Labour got a expensive vote winner and the Tories would not remove them as a second term would not be ALL at the expense of the country and its people.


Education and free childcare centres ends poverty for those who can work (without being benefit penalised for overtime) at a third of the cost of CTC, access to a NHS 'direct employee' dentist and GP surgery staff on site with a social work team there, integration!... Education and Community Centre's for putting children first not parents state funded bank accounts.


Those on CTC who moan about austerity cuts that dont work want to try to live off Jobseekers and child benefit again instead of keeping it ontop of CTC.



The Tories and Labour have failed this country many decades, now they are failing it again.

So basically you're upset about the catastrophic mismanagement of the UK economy by New Labour - principally Gordon Brown (one of your fellow countrymen?) and Ed Balls - and that David Cameron's Governments have failed to rectify this mess in an appropriate way?

Yup, screw the long term country over short term gain of being in office.

Tax credits were a vote winner, for that reason Tory won't remove them.



Tax credits have taken money out the NHS and education and bred a new breed of HMRC staff costs, like the DWPs was affordable to begin with lol!
