This. I've had both and this is better. Only thing I miss about Mi4i is tap to wake.
So if you buy this & do nothing it'll stay on Android 4.4?

If I lose my Note 5 tomorrow I would get this in a heartbeat, I had this before but i received the Note 5 as a present. Though it has bigger screen etc, theres not much in it imo for my usage (medium user, bit of games), even at the £200 i got it for back then I did not need to worry about breaking it etc, so i didnt have ugly cases at all, I dont think i even had a screen protector. It was so refreshing to have a phone which works and actually appreciate the metal work on the phone.. Unlike silly iphone users (me included) - 'Wow that's great you have a £600 piece of sculpted art.. how often do you touch the metal on it?'
Oh also, I seem to remember rooted you get later MIUI versions, they perform much better than original.

MIUI 7 is a great OS; the best I've used.. I love the one handed mode.. I havent' got any experience with MIUI 8.

It's true. There was an app on my other half's Amigoo called picturesque that Malwarebytes didn't like the look of. Don't know what it did but it wasn't a stock Android system app so I rooted the phone and removed it. Also had a Lenovo just for the Chinese market and it was shocking how much malware was installed on it.

If you factory reset this phone does the playstore and G apps disappear and a bunch of chinese apps reappear making this phone useless to the user unless they can read chinese?
I remember looking at this phone a while ago only thing that put me off was no microSD slot.

Voted Hot nice phone. Those who are on a budget (see tight) like me I would recommend the DooGee x5 Pro (there are two models so make sure you get pro). I paid £57 on ebay as a best offer price. Came within two days had around a week now and very pleased with it after my Samsung S3 stopped working. Camera is pretty average and Its not as good as this one by the look of things but worth it for me. Has 2gb Ram, 4g, 2 sim slots etc.

Doesn't fully support any UK 4G networks. OK if you are fine with 3G speeds.

From another thread I was told that these didn't have a full years warranty - it was something around 3 months. If they could sort this out they would really shake up the UK mobile market.
