Why? It's £65 more than this, doesn't come with a game and has a selling point of an internal power brick. Let's be honest, who's seen their power brick since they purchased their Xbox One?
Fair enough it is capable of 4K Ultra HD video, but I'd imagine that's not really a major benefit for the masses, at the moment.
The (this) Xbox One is more than adequate at doing its intended purpose and at under £185 with a game and a 2 year warranty is a bloody steal.
Oh and a white console wouldn't really sit well with mine (and I imagine many others) current devices. Heat added OP, thanks for sharing

Only Curry's were doing this bundle, at this price. That deal has now ended, so I can't see this price lasting much longer at John Lewis.

Not if this is for an Xmas present for a 10 yr old, like it is in my case (purchase the Currys deal).
As for the warranty, you shouldn't need it. Would have done with the original models of the 360, but the One has been built to much better specifications.

If I wanted to watch "4K films" I wouldn't buy a slim or pay for overpriced 4K bluerays, I would just buy a bargain priced first gen Xbox one and sign up for the new 4K Netflix

...which will be nowhere near the quality of Ultra HD 4K Blu-Ray....
WalkerboyUK
28 Jun 16#15
And based on HD re-mastering on standard blu-ray, neither will the majority of Ultra HD 4K blu-rays as they are just going to be releases of old titles that can't be turned into true 4k because it didn't exist when the film was made.

A lot of older films were filmed in much higher quality than 1080p so there is potential for them on 4k

good deal IMHO. for £20 EA access is also a bargain as well that will give anyone hours of fun with other leading EA games (fifa 16/battlefront/PGA golf/battleline 4 and many others

Thanks, ordered. I've waited long enough can't turn it down at this price.

Heat added, but 500gb HDD is very limiting.
Got one for my son about 2 months ago and it's already full. :disappointed:

£40-45 will get you a 1TB external drive to plug in. Cheaper than paying the extra for the 1TB version.

None of them as there is no physical copy included.
This is a one-time use download code which will allow you to select one of the 4 games.
Best option is to choose the one that's most expensive, then go and buy one of the others.
Current Values at CEX:
Rise of the Tomb Raider - Cash £7, Credit £10, To Buy £15 (all lower than the 360 version!)
Forza 6 - Cash £11, Credit £16, To Buy £25
Gears of War - Cash £5, Credit £8, To Buy £12
Rare Replay - Cash £3, Credit £5, To Buy £8
In other words - use the code for Forza, then go and buy Rare Replay elsewhere!
We bought this bundle, from Currys, for my son as his Xmas present (yeah we buy nice and early).
I already have GoW & Forza so he can use those, and Rise of Tomb Raider not suitable for him, so he'll get Rare Replay, even though it's the game with lowest value.

What would you rather pay, £10 to £15 on each 4K blueray or £8 per month to the new Netflix service to stream unlimited 4K movies to any device whether it be on your iPad on the train or at home? I know which one I would choose

£10-15 is just for starters... and I'd rather pay £8 per month based on the number of blu-rays I've got sat at home either unwatched or only watched once!

That is early!! Lucky for you the code for the game has a use by date of Jan 1st 2017.

Wasn't sure when the code expires, so was going to open the box and take a look.
If it had been pre-Xmas I'd have activated it on his Live Gold account in advance. No need to now!
Figured it made sense to buy the console when we could, as I really don't see it dropping much below this bundle price in the lead to Xmas. If it does it's likely to include a game he won't want.
