It also means you may struggle with any games that simulate world wars.

Being a purchase from France does that mean the power supply will be different and a adaptor needed?

A new console will be announced at e3 soon. Beware of purchasing now. Same with ps4

And will it cost £231.30? Nope didn't think think so!
There are actually 2 new X Box consoles TBA, not launched as is hyped, and also the PS4.5, successor to the PS.
If you really want to save some cash and are just starting out, get an X Box 360 or a PS3 instead and play the same games for less cash from the likes of CeX etc

Think I will wait, the slim model is rumored to launch in August and from what I have read it could possibly include a 4k bluray player. That would be a win for me and probably worth the extra bit of cash. Still if you must have one now then this is a good deal.

I think MS will announce the (rumoured) slim to be released in August but not the (rumoured) Scorpio at E3, they may well announce that there will be more hardware announcements at the Gamescom show in August, this will keep Sony in the dark they go second again at E3 and it will be perfect timing to announce a 2017 release date for Scorpio as it will overshadow the (rumoured) PS Neo and it's hardware capability if it is announced for October as per (rumours) as the Scorpio is (rumoured) to be a lot more powerful and capable of running and which may include an Oculus Rift VR option.
So many rumours.

You would be mad to buy a console now, in a few weeks at E3 it is very likely both Sony and Microsoft will announce new consoles making these obsolete. The PS4 Neo we be around double the power of the PS4 and the Xbox One Scorpio is rumoured to be 4 times more powerful than the Neo! Just wait to see what happens.

It wouldn't make the original version obsolete in the slightest, they will still run every single game released. I believe now is a good time to buy with the prices being so low, I can't see them being much lower even after the release of the new revisions of which won't be cheap at all will they.

I really think there is plenty of room for prices to fall even further, this is the first time that intermediate consoles have been released in a long time and changing something mid cycle actually makes prices plummet worse than something at the end of a cycle. I could see the PS4/XB1 soon ending up around £150 which is what a PS3 costs new now!
I also think the games will look pretty bad in what they are calling 'non neo' mode as dev's rush to take advantage of the new power which is a much bigger leap than a refresh to be honest. A whistle blower added that VR looks flat out terrible on the original PS4 which is why they had to create a new console to do it justice.
Releasing the PS4/XB1 when they did was a mistake, the consoles should have released now with more power and a slightly higher price. The original machines were underpowered and in a way, too cheap.
