Well I had the same problem, every time I tried to renew my code from cdkeys I got an error message on my Xbox ( saying code not valid ) which I put down to the fact that I was stacking my subscription.

As a test I entered it online at the following address:

https://live.xbox.com/redeemtoken

Accepted and went straight through. My Xbox live subscription now expires July 2018 :smiley:. Hope this helps. Try it and see how you get on.

If you have auto renewal turned off and no payment information on your account then you can't activate a prepaid gold membership until your current membership runs out. Just found that out myself, could be your issue maybe. If on the failure screen you get error 80169cf9 then it is.

beware if stacking! I just purchased one as my sub runs out Jan 2017. Tried code, says 12m prepaid and when I confirm says error. Also on CD keys email when confirmed payment states stacking no longer allowed.

I think you get an error code now when trying to stack. I'm sure someone else will confirm if I'm wrong though. Read that on my Xbox One screen.
