Got a worx 18v lithium drill last year. Just out of warranty and charger not working. Charged about 4 times since I got it.

Theres one on Shpock who will post for about £20 bit overpriced for me. Got an 18 volt switched PSU for £3.50 on eBay. Gonna try to connect that to the battery charging block as I think its the block that has all the control circuitry. They're all moaning about Worx crappy chargers and after sales service in the US. Steer clear of Erbauer also, same company

Its lithium and I haven't fully discharged the battery anyway. The charger (switch mode PSU) is totally dead, no charge or power light. Gonna try another PSU connected to the battery charging block see what happens

I'm on my second one of these with 2 batteries. Either the drill is not working properly or the batteries don't hold much charge because the drill just stops.

Faster charging reduces battery life.
Ideally we should get a fast/normal/slow charge option on chargers.

Yeah it's good on the face of it, but not voting either way because as others have pointed out the charger is dead slow and the torque is low also. My Makita 12v Ni-Cad does the same torque and the battery ought to last longer in use because it's 12v. Also the charger does a full charge in 30 minutes.

Looks pretty good for the price, but surprised they used a rather weak 20V motor, it provides a maximum torque of only 35nM. I ended up going for the 18V Bosch Screwfix deal, granted double the price but also a hammer drill and gives 60nM of torque.
Great price though for general DIY from a good brand. Heated.

Check the lead going into the charger-battery block. Mine had broken there. Opened the block, cut the wire then resolderrd it. Now works a treat. Great powerful drill.

Link not working for second drill linked to, but be aware that one has 18v NiCd batteries.

Theres one of these (18v though) with case and extra battery for £60. I reckon thats a far better deal, actually.
