Wimbledon is just around the corner and ticketmaster are again selling a small number of tickets each day for centre court and court 3, although it seems like they have put the price up!

Last years deal - http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/wimbledon-centre-court-no-3-court-tickets-from-50-00-booking-sale-9am-12pm-day-before-2234020

Two types of tickets available

Returns for Centre Court and No.3 Court
Reserved seating for Centre Court and No.3 Court

New prices:
Centre Court - £57.77 for the first week
No.3 Court - £44.00 for the first week

A limited number of tickets will be available: Centre Court for each of the 13 days of The Championships and No.3 Court for the first 7 days.

For returns tickets will go on sale with Ticketmaster at around 48 hours before the day of play e.g. at noon on Saturday for play on Monday June.

Reserved seating tickets will go on sale each morning at 9.00am for the following day's play e.g. on Sunday 27th June for play on Monday 29th June

I've only got tickets once but it was well worth it and i always try!

Once the full page goes up I will update it.

It's been posted every year and the Ticketmaster link is posted on every national newspaper and website in the country so it's hardly a secret!

Want to keep the tradition going tbh.

I suspect either:

1) One means the server dumped your search, whereas the other means it performed the search and found nothing.
2) If you are searching for a pair of tickets, perhaps their are single tickets available (or vice versa) when you get the first message.
eivind
8 Jul 16 #293
Anyone noticed this:

When you search for tickets, you get on of two messages:

1. Sorry, no tickets match your search.
You can try changing quantity or ticket type, or you can explore one of the options below.

2. Sorry, no tickets from venue currently...
Many fans are shopping and some may have let their tickets go. You can try again, or you can explore one of the options below.

Does the latter mean there are still tickets out there?

feel your pain - i would always take mens qf,sf or final if given chance esp with Andy playing - but there is still tomorrow and you have done very well getting them before.

today was a very long shot as there would be hardly any returns at all for this....the womens returns are much easier to get as shown by lots being abvailable yesterday for the womens final tomorrow

its a total luck chance if you get the captcha or not....hope we dont get it tomorrow

Also worth taking your own food/drinks.

Popping in and out for the loo is feasible, but to grab food/drink will mean you miss quite a bit of tennis. Especially if you're in the upper levels, the first time we went we were near the top and missed the start of the next match trying to go grab some food.

Thanks for the tips, I actually like 20 minutes walk away, doesn't help with tickets though (says the guy who just got really lucky!)
falstaff78
8 Jul 16 #284
return seats are already allocated. when you arrive you will be given an envelope with your name on it. just go to gate 4 with a printout of the confirmation email, the credit card you used to make the purchase and your id

you should budget 15-20 minutes from arriving at gate 4 to reaching your seats at centre court.

pro tip. go to wimbledon park tube station and take an uber to 7 church road. will save you 10-15 minutes of transit time and you will beat the rush....

No, they were already in an envelope with my name on it when I got there. Therefore they are pre-allocated (assume you get the actual returns you grabbed on Ticketmaster).

In our case the seats were phenomenal. Seven rows back, just to the right of the net and on the player seating side.

It's honestly down to luck this year and also remember the more people that know about it the less chance you have it's all that dam captcha though when it use to be type in the 2 words I could ge a ticket for evey day if I wanted to but know it is a complete lottery!

I gave up after the first few days, as I couldn't go after that. I did keep trying for 15 mins but never got any luck
jdpwest
6 Jul 16 #241
I have found similar although I did have a system that worked for last year but not this year. I think this year the servers update at different times. So one updates soon after 12 but another maybe a second or two later. So it seems more about luck in terms of the server you hit rather than the speed you go at.

Oh and its also even more about luck as some people get a picture captcha and some people go straight through. Fortunately by plugging away and not giving up after the first 30 seconds I've managed to go 3 times this year , twice by getting tickets between 8-10 mins after they went on sale.
jdpwest
6 Jul 16 #240
I dont think its just people who return them but also debentures \ companys that cant use them and also people who have their tickets cancelled because they try and sell them on for a profit like some of the ones which were on ebay. But you are right I cant see any genuine ballot people sending those back in.
NeCo
6 Jul 16 1 #239
Long story short -

On Tuesday (trialling the system)
Tried at 9am for 2x Wed Centre Court Reserved, and plugged away at it for 5-6 mins getting through the captcha repeatedly as quick as i could. Was relieved to eventually be offered 2 seats in block 508 but let them lapse after the 2mins as i couldn't attend this day. (gutted as some good matches)

Tried for the 12pm returns for Thursday, and plugged away at it for 30 mins but got nothing.

Today (wanted tickets for Thursday as i could go)

Tried at 9am for 2x Thurs Centre Court Reserved, and plugged away at it for 7-8 mins getting through the captcha repeatedly as quick as i could. Was relieved to eventually be offered 2 seats in block 502 and this time went through the buy process which atleast offers you generally enough time at each stage to create account etc as long as you have info to hand, and completed checkout without issue. Hurray we're going.

Out of interest, tried for the 12pm returns, and plugged away at it for 30 mins again but got nothing.

So moral of the story is its not impossible, keep trying, be lucky!

peekay83
6 Jul 16 #236
I used to be able to get them everyday, got tickets for family members too but since they introduced the captcha I've been useless, nothing this year or last year.

Those that have had success, is the technique still to logon at 8.59/11.59 and keep hitting refresh until it changes, then a flat race to fill in the ticket numbers and captcha, quickest wins. If you don't get any the first time you might as well give up?

I've lost my mojo!

Last week I was lucky twice - on Tuesday I managed to get two Centre Court Returns for Thursday (day 4) and on Wednesday I got two Centre Court Returns for Friday (day 5).

On the Thursday we were assigned block 309 row S and on the Friday block 206 row L. From my experience this year (and in past years) the returns are much better.

Keep trying, tickets do exist. You just need to be quick off the mark!

Basically we just met 100 yards up the road from gate 12/13, and I gave him cash, I assume they have cameras on the road even outside the grounds. Inside security woman came to me, asked for my ticket, asked how I paid for it etc, I was honest. They told me tickets not transferrable then said I would have to leave.

I would be spending a lot of money on travelling too.Considering I have work on Monday, and lots of other factors, it makes more sense to skip it this year.

2 Jul 16 #181
What is the problem with Unreserved? I don't think there are any outright bad seats in either Centre Court or Court One. I doubt they are selling more than the capacity of the court - or if so only a few more to allow for no shows.
Levitt
2 Jul 16 #180
I'm in Manchester so it would involve spending a lot of money on trains along with the tickets. Might wait until next year now!

Bear in mind though it may be unreserved but as there's only 10,000 tickets for Centre court and it holds around 17,000 you'll still get a good seat, I would have thought.

It seems slightly unfair to do an unreserved system considering some of us would have to travel in the morning, and according to National Rail the earliest I could probably get to Wimbledon is around 12pm. I'm hoping they reserve them once you've booked them, but by the sounds of it "unreserved" is literally first come, first served, which is disappointing.

EDIT: I say that, I can't even see where the tickets are meant to be on Ticketmaster, so not exactly an issue, haha

Bit of info for anyone trying to get tickets. Got a return for Centre Court yesterday. My boyfriend then decided he wanted to go after all lol so he queued up from about 4pm and got a Ground Pass at 5.30pm (£18). Then to our amazement, whilst we were scoffing our food outside, a very kind couple gave us their Court 1 tickets as they were leaving for the day so we got to see Djokovic for 2 games before rain stopped play haha. Boyfriend then queued up for a Centre Court return (£10) and was able to see the last set of the Federer match in a great seat in 209. Moral of the story - even if you aren't lucky with Tickemaster, still go, get a ground pass, queue for returns, sit on Henman Hill and enjoy...it's an amazing place.

For today for example the queue is already full so you wouldn't get on till 4-5 then you would have to queue again for re sale to get onto centre court not really worth it in my opinion.

Also incase other people aren't aware play is happening tomorrow (middle Sunday) ticket details are being released at 1pm all tickets being sold online!

Although the good thing about these Wimbledon tickets is that at the gate they STRICTLY double check that you to have your id, your ticket with your name and more importantly your card that was used to make the transaction. That all but stops any ticket touts

Had a great day out today , was sitting in section 309, must have been the "worste" returns as I got these on Saturday at 12:10 so if the seats are allocated in order, cant see anyone being behind us in the q.

Queue to get in at gate 4 was v long. Longer than I have had in previous years. only 2 people on bag checks and I think they said they had loads of returns for day 1 for some reason.

Only weird thing was the lady in front of me kept turning round to me and my friend throughout the day and giving us strange looks. I thought it was because we were talking, on the way out she turned to me and said "why did you and your friend keep sticking pins into me all day". Obviously we hadn't touched the woman but she was adiment something like that had happened .

Cant see how anyone would go to centre court to do that but hey, takes all sorts

Am 3 from 4 so far  But its all about luck this year nothing else. unless someone wants to prove me wrong ?

Did the page auto refresh for you and were you on the web or the app? Thanks

I bough tickets for the Rolland Garros final, and I must say the french system for tickets is much better. Its no luck at all.

Man it's hard this year it's all down to the captacha you get and if you are lucky your chances are much greater!

Does the website auto refresh when tickets are avaliable or do you have to manually do it? Also for those on the app same question I never even saw them become avaliable!

Definitely more frustrating this year :/

Nothing this morning. Was very quick and only after one ticket too. Time to try again at 12!
jdpwest
26 Jun 16 #36
Always using browser never the app. Used to be similarly lucky with fast fingers , unfortunately not much use now. Trying to find a method to cut out time but it looks like the random nature of putting some people straight through is quicker anything I could do if I get pictures.

I got returns twice last year and for tomorrow first day. Have got them only on first day apart fro last year when I got ones on the first friday and they ended up being in the front row (see last years thread for the pics).

So its always a gamble but something you get v lucky but it can be very frustrating too.
eivind
26 Jun 16 #35
I get the same message in the app. I also have problems with the app in general. Always tells me it can't connect to the server.

The first couple of times i tried, i didn't have to pick pictures.
Arsenal1234
26 Jun 16 #34
Argh so it really is now luck! I suppose that is fairer but more annoying for me and my fast gaming fingers!

When you succeed were you on the app or website? Must say I have never had success at returns ever as they are super limited so always sat at the back in the gods!
ProdigyRep
26 Jun 16 #33
on the website I try for returns tomorrow and reserved, I know there's non left, but it still gives me the option to search, ticketmaster app does not

Tickets aren't on sale yet they get released at 9am/midday so it should update then!

jdpwest

Even worse, for some random people it doesnt through up pictures but just goes through so however fast you are, it seems those people on browsers are getting the returns. More luck that ever before this year by looks of it
Arsenal1234
26 Jun 16 #29
Thanks I am doing a few dry runs this year to see how I get on its annoying they have changed the captacha from text based only to the image one really does mean it is down to luck!

Heard in previous years they have seperate "pots" for app and browser. out of the 3 "goes" so far I've got tickets on 2 of them. Problem with only needing them on Saturday is come those tickets you could be stressed out
Arsenal1234
26 Jun 16 #27
It begins! 2 years ago went three times due to being fast on ticketmaster but last year had no luck I am only aiming for the Saturday (work ) so going to do a few dry runs via the app and website I am hearing the app is the better chance of success though?

Good luck to all this year and enjoy your day if you are going!

Are you using browser? Did you have to do the picture thing? I have tried three times, and I think am quite quick, but no luck.
eivind
26 Jun 16 #23
So, does it work to use the ticketmaster uk app? Is it faster? The robot-thing is causing me all sorts of problems.
kkhimji2001
26 Jun 16 #22
i got 2 on a practise trial but didnt buy them because i cant go, just try to get through for fun.

is everyone going for every day? price gets quite expensive near the final
jdpwest
26 Jun 16 #21
Yep. if you had done the first single ticket on Chrome and then went for 2 more some IE or Firefox you'd of been fine . Last year when I was trying for a certain day I managed to get through twice on the same slot. Bit like lightening hitting twice but it can happen.
falstaff78
26 Jun 16 #20
ahhhhh!! I was offered a ticket! but I had only selected 1. so I got greedy and opened a new browser (not new tab) and tried to get two. when I came back and tried to buy the 1 it told me there had been a problem.

this is because I had read on this page https://blog.tickpick.com/buy-tickets-on-ticketmaster-fast/ that new browser windows do not count

DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE FRIENDS!

I did it on a pc mate in Manchester before travelling down to London. So contrary to what some people think living closer to ticket masters servers in London does not matter. I tried ticket master last year during the queue on my phone but no luck despite my singnal being 4 plus
ProdigyRep
25 Jun 16 #15
I refreshed the page at 12 bang on didn't have search refreshed instantly had search. My verification was only clicking to say I was not a robot I didn't have to do any picture ones. I'll try for court 3 tomorrow for Tuesday. I'm in London for the whole two weeks so ticket master saves the pain of having to queue.
jdpwest to ProdigyRep

Did you get centre court for monday then ? and were you doing on a pc or phone?
kkhimji2001
25 Jun 16 #13
hi mate, you got 2 returns at 12:10 how lucky, did you have to do the pictures verification thing or did it search for tickets without clicking the pictures of cookies, rivers etc
jdpwest to kkhimji2001
25 Jun 16 #14
Always giving me picture verification. First one at 12 was Click the images (and then it replaced them with even more) which takes an age to do. For the next 10 mins of trying it was always re doing the security verfification and everytime it was clicking picture to verify.

yes , I used to have a few tricks to get ahead by a few milliseconds but its purely luck this year.

Screen looks like last years method before they go onsale only to turn into a standard Ticketmaster screen after that.

Catcha screen caused me all sorted of problems at 12:00 and so I got nothing.

However....... I kept banging away at someone must have had issues with the credit card as at 12:10 it popped up 2 tickets for me

Love first day and love return tickets

Anyone notice the ticket layout page is different now (no timer countdown). The old layout was better & did everyone have to do the pictures verification thing once you click find tickets?

As you'll see from last years thread I managed to go 3 times over the course of the first week before I ran out of cash

This year looks more about luck than any skill so best of luck to anyone who tries.
