My wife is also Gluten intolerant (but not a Coeliac). Maize and Rice are gluten free.
Maize can cause her problems, although in this very small amount, not really.
Thanks OP  We'll be off to Waitrose this afternoon to see if there are any left.

Good spot OP. These are excellent sausages and a bargain at the price. Had several packs delivered from Ocado earlier, 1 pack of which went straight on the bbq. Superb.
Sell by date is 2 weeks from now, although chuck 'em in the freezer and you're good for the rest of the summer.
Heat from me

So manufacturers may not declare their products GF for a variety of reasons e.g. they produce other gluten containing products in the same location etc. However, in this case they are using rice and maize flour instead of wheat - normally called rusk - typically wheat of one form or another. For those of us who are gluten intolerent i am happy with that, particulalrly given 97% pork. If you are coeliac you may not be.

Waitrose don't have them on offer still £3.29. Ocado seem to a load with a possible sell by date of the end of this month?

At 97% pork personally I think I might have the opposite problem - not fatty enough for a good flavour. The price is still good though so I'd give them a whirl if there were a Waitrose near me.
