I'm not sure if this is a glitch but the Nokia 215 is currently only £9.99 at Argos - although it claims you need to purchase £10 top up which will be automatically added to the transaction - I found that this doesn't happen though so you get the phone for £9.99 (you may even get the airtime included when you collect)
Firstly this is not going to rival a iPhone 6 or equivalent Android device.Yes it's pretty limited and runs an old Series 30+ OS, however for a very cheap festival/holiday/burner/spare phone with 1 month battery life this is pretty cheap considering you get facebook/twitter/browser apps, microSD slot, bluetooth, mp3 player, camera/video, FM radio & torch.
This won't work in every country in the world so it's worth checking if that's the intended use. Also not sure about unlocking but I'd imagine this can be easily & cheaply done.

The wiki page suggests it has 1 - however I'm not convinced this is accurate as I can't find any other sources confirming it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_215

From the link I could read this review ... Can someone confirm if they have managed to pick up the phone without the top-up??
Despite being advertised and reserved at £14.99 I would have HAD to buy £10 credit to purchase the phone making it £24.99. This was not stated it had to be done, only advised. That is not clearly stated AT ALL. Why would I want a top up voucher when all I needed was the phone. I would have put my sim card in the phone which I pay a monthly subscription from Virgin.
CPW is selling Nokia 215 unlocked on PYG for 9.99 plus £10 topup minus £5.50 cashback from TCB, unlocking for nokias is too expensive (£20+) ...

Might get it just for the fm radio..(and mp3 player)...

Yep, I'm actually getting it as an Mp3 player for the car (thanks to the Bluetooth) and it will act as an emergency phone too, for my purposes it doesn't really matter about the network or lack of wifi/3g etc.

Surely a dual sim disposable phone would better for such activities

Possibly, depends on individual needs I suppose. Do you know of any for under a tenner? Might be worth posting a link to the thread as an alternative?

I just bought the EE Took smart phone for this price and that's 4G.

Battery on that doesn't last a day let alone a month. Please remember different people have different needs, battery life is probably the USP of this phone not features.
By the way if you post a deal for that phone at this price I'm sure you'll have yourself a very hot deal
Anyone know if EE SIM work on this phone ? Is it locked to Virgin ?

Even if they force you to buy airtime, you just add it to your monthly contract, that's what I do.

Bought this phone for £9.99 using FastTrack and didn't need to pay the £10 top up. However I can't find anywhere to get it unlock so I'll be taking it back.

FastTrack no topup required. With virgin anyway so a bargain. Might get another.

Can't seem to find anywhere that will unlock this - free or paid.
Virgin are about £15 as far as I know, but I can't find where to order. It app. takes about 30 days for the unlock code to arrive.

I assume the glitch is that they aren't giving you enough to talk this junk off their hands
