Nutritional stats for these bars aren't great. Only 10g of protein per bar but a whopping 22g of sugar

There's nothing wrong with carbs but to charge premium prices for not so premium ingredients should rightly be called out.

Tried these recently and thought they were quite nice! Not Huge protein content as others have said so maybe not the best for weight training but pretty ideal for long bike rides which is what I would use them for! cheers op

I'm under constant review by the docs so, ketosis is fine it's ketosis acidosis that is dangerous and is completely different to being in ketosis, my glucose is fine in ketosis hba1c of 36, when carbing in Dec it was 59, I did 3 marathons in one week not so much as a blister, and it's the oat bars I have issues with, the actual protein bars I'm fine with, my girl and I go through loads of them last 2/3months at least coco chaos and red berries10 boxes= 160 bars as the release slowly, the oat bars are the totally oppersite and that's what is an issue for me. Still a good deal for those that can use them.

I've looked in multiple home and bargains many times and never ever seen these in stock.
It's not clear whether these are the smaller size or larger? If the larger with 9-10g of protein then it's a good price. If it's the smaller bars with 7g, then not so much?

29p each in Home Bargain in Hoylake, just grabbed 3 as I thought they looked a good breakfast to have on the go. They're the 'Original Oat' variety, 10g of protein. Don't think they had other flavours. Think they're new in, not seen them there before.

Peanut butter one of these is nice, but I think protein bar is stretching the definition a bit with these macros. Good natural ingredients, good for pre-training IMO.

A mix of both high and low glycemic index carbs is beneficial for both Pre and Post workout I would say.

Ketosis as you are referring to is good for short periods of time, long periods will damage your body, be cautious. Protein requires a certain amount carbohydrates to process.

Rubbish stop listening to representatives of other industries.
Your brain and body prefers to run on glucose. Ad hominems and conspiracy theories aren't enough to base health advice for me.
Just because we lived without vaccines for tens of thousands of years, doesn't mean they bad and not needed. Pressing a few fruits, nuts etc together into a bar is not the best example to try and demonise processed food. It's just convenient and tastes good.

Rubbish, stop listening to representatives of corporations and governments.
It's nothing new and it's not an obsesssion, it's simply truth, it's been a thing since Ancel Keys lied in the 50s and things have gone downhill from there.
Regardless, this is processed food and processed food isn't good for you, you don't need this stuff to exercise or perform in sports, people did just fine without it for centuries.

10g of protein for 69p, you're better of eating 40g of peanuts.
