Sci-fi drama directed by Phillip Noyce and starring Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep and Brenton Thwaites. Set in a seemingly utopian future where all war, emotion and personal freedom have been eradicated, the film follows Jonas (Thwaites), a young man who is chosen to be the recipient of the community's collective memories. As he learns the details of the community's history from The Giver (Bridges), he grows frustrated with the power those in charge hold over his fellow citizens and the terrible price they have been forced to pay in exchange for conformity and peace...

The problem is every different Poundland has different Blu-rays on offer.
I have spent the last three weeks going to the 6 different Poundlands in my area, often on the same day. And they almost never have the same stuff.
And none of them have had the Giver in stock. I did get Transformers 3 there yesterday. And Kung Fu Panda the week before though.

Yes finding them is like a lottery. Sometimes the good ones are deliberately hidden by staff. You have to spend half an hour to turn them around to reveal what is behind the first dvd or blue ray to dig out the good ones.
