Wow, 777 degrees, and no sign of this deal so far in any Tesco (except perhaps in the OP's local store, wherever that may be).

Great for real strawberry milkshake.
Here's my recipe. Chuck some strawberries in a long glass, as many as will fit without squashing them in. Top up with milk. Transfer to blender. Blend. Pour back into glass. Drink.

Anyone found these for 69p? Would help to know which Tesco branches are selling at this price.

I recall watching Michael Caine on 'The Parkinson Show' back in the '70s being asked what it was like living in LA. He talked about going into a supermarket and seeing all this fruit & veg that looked perfect, looked the same size, but he said that they had no flavour whatsoever.

Absolutely right. I think we should form a Imperfect Fruit & Veg factory.
And kick the perfect ones out of the pitch. Only for a while and stop these Rule maker to say that the selection of so called perfect ones are down to us consumers.
I saw the ITV program on food which showed a leek farmer showing how his leeks were wasted cut down to something like 30% even the length has to be same, all because of what we consumers wanted.

Also known as strawberries. This damn country and its obsession with perfection.

A wee bit brutal but the "quotation marks to highlight a point" were rather mis-used, even if the point you were making was perfectly valid. Apologies to you hass123, but it made me laugh! This place is a battleground at the best of times, poster beware!

bought two boxes a couple of weeks back and was very pleasantly surprised, they tasted fantastic, way better than 90% of more expensive choices, can definitely recommend these. I didn't realise the £1.29 boxes were bigger so will definitely be buying more.

they look rough but taste fantastic. I actually prefer these to the "normal" ones

Maybe because the "taste" is more concentrated to the "rough" areas? The taste on the "normal" ones in my experience are constant throughout the strawberry.
