Do they still have 2 for 75p at the deli counter? The standard 2 egg pack recently jumped in price from 75p to £1!

Heron foods sell some nice scotch eggs. They are good quality and sold as cracked and broken in a pack of 4 for £1

you can tell the better scotch eggs - through eggs don't rattle when you shake them

Good these and great for £1
Nice peppery crumb coating and so far no sign of any gristle or cysts.

I love a scotch egg. Asda do Cumberland and Lincolnshire sausage variants which are very nice

the ones from the deli counter are the same ones as the standard ones. The finest ones are definatly better.

I like the runny egg versions though the price starts ramping up at that point to 'artisan' standards. Will have to check the local butchers after securing several packs of the Tesco ones

The fresh ones from the deli counter in Tesco are better!!!
50p each or 2 for 75p!!!

Best scotch eggs are home made or from the local butchers. These are better than the cheaper ones though. Marks and Spencer sell the runny egg versions, which are nice gently warmed in an oven.

Nicer hot, 40 seconds in microwave then sliced up and put on bread. Scotch egg sandwich
