Just bought myself some nice Cotes Du Rhone and some South African wine.
They had LOADS of different wines all reduced to £2.79.
So if you are near Egham - STOCK UP.
And save some poor student's liver before they go mad and buy it all.

Got some in Nottingham too, express store, they also had the malibu mixer cans for 50p and smirnoff and cranberry cans some random price like 71p. Got the lot for when bbq weather finally kicks in, don't like them myself but will shove them in the direction of those friends that turn up empty handed, does everyone have them or is it just me, turn up with a pack of stubbies but seen all night with budweiser in hand

Many thanks OP. Just back with 11 bottles of red including 4 Tesco Finest Douro which I thought they no longer sold. Down to £3.85. Also three bottles of Reynella Homestead Cabernet Shiraz for £3 each. Loads left in the small Tesco in Salisbury town centre.

It's in BIG and SMALL. I bought "Vineyards South African Pinotage" for £2.79,Italian Soave and Spanish Garnacha Rose.. It seems to be the "Vineyards" range as a whole and also the "Lateral" and "Simply" range. Sadly I missed out on the "Fern Bay NZ Sauvignon Blanc" at just £3.29 :disappointed: I also got some small Gallo Cab/Sav bottles for £1.13 (Approx £4.52 for a full 75cl) as I am off on a train journey in a few week  Simply Shiraz wine box was £8.32 (3 Bottle size)
I am trying the Pinotage as we speak and it is very Malbec like and delicious I must admit!!
I used Tesco 24 in Barrow In Furness and also Tesco Metro in Ulverston. Metro store had only white labels on shelf so much harder to find the offer.

Seems to be nationwide as I picked up some tonight in Tesco before I saw this post.
At these price points there is some dross around, so always worth a google on your phone to look at a few reviews of any particular vino.
I did this and the reviews for the Cab Sav and Merlot from the 'Simply' range were good so I picked up a few of each.
I then taste tasted each when I got home (both very gluggable) to see if I should head out tomorrow and buy some more. Which I may well do.

Thanks for the tip off. They are not the best but worth £2.79. Went for a Mudcadet, French chenin blanc and the Cote due Rhone which does look like it would be a but dodge. Others were sold out

It's a town center store not a huge one on the outskirts.
