I presume that some of the small items you purchased were also price matched and this messed up the deal. You should pick tesco brand items or loose fruits / veggies cos none of them can be compared to other supermarkets.

This works as of 12:30 today, I purchased 4 large bottles of Ariel 40 washes @ £10.00 each and received a discount of £29.95. I added to my basket 10 fruits and vegetables for a healthy lunch :-)
I returned 2nd time and done the same deal so now have 320 washes = 3 years of laundry for £20 :-)

That's weird, I have just been to tesco, got 4 X ariel, some sweets and other bits I needed, sub total £40, and I got the £7.50 for the 25% but only £13.02 for the band match

If you are buying 4 of the same Ariel liquids then they count as 1 item out of the 10 as they will all have the same barcode. You then need another 9 different items so you have scanned 10 different barcodes in total.

Morrisons is less reliable for comparisons as Tesco only check a couple of weeks in store. But your maths looks right.

£8.59.. would have been cheaper if I hadn't bought the orange.. came in at 68p but needed it!

Though for the ariel it was £30 - £7.50 for 25% off and then £16 off for the brand guarantee making it £6.50 for 4 bottles. All in all £1.63 per bottle!

don't do 8 arial at a time as just tried and only got £20 brand guarantee not the £16 you should get off 4.. I asked lady to knock me the 4 extra arial off ... total price £10.04 bought 1 Banana 9p.. 3 bottles of fizzy tesco drinks 2 for 90p and 1 at 55p.. 1 value ham 60p...2 flumes 10p each different flavour .. 1 drumstick 10p.. sandwiche thins £1.00 I needed them.. All the branded items you buy will be compared. So things like Nutella could mess up the deal. Unbranded items aren't compared, so won't affect the deal.

How do you know what they price check though..I'm trying online for collection tomorrow with over 10 different barcodes and it's not deducting

100% does work Instore. The other 9 items must be available in other supermarkets to be price matched against. I bought single banana onion carrot and some 10p sweets (maom, drumstick lolly, flumps etc...) you have to have 10 DIFFERENT items. The 4 Ariel count as one item.

Price match is done Before paying unlike other store who make you jump hoops or give you a voucher to lose and demand you come back within days.

BRAND GUARANTEE : apart from 4 ariel gel (only count as 1) use tesco own brand and/or single fruit/veg to make up to 10 items you do not need items that can be price matched (best not to in case tesco is cheaper ? as this reduces the saving)
