I don't think it's expired, I have the Steelbook and the codes says Redeem by 5/11/2014, but it redeemed fine a few minutes ago.

What does that even mean, 'it couldn't decide what it wanted to be'... I hate when people say this. It is what it is.

The fact that you are having a hard time pigeonholing the movie because it doesn't align with your expectations of the genres has no bearing on whether the movie is good or not.

They had plenty in Crossgates Leeds as well as these other 2.

heat. well worth a quid. my word its a dark film. poorly hyped. could easily appear on one of those "great films you missed" articles.

If you really want a bad film then (yes i know its a bit old hat to mention it) but you need The Room by Tommy Wissou(?). truly the worst film ever made.

Quite a large batch of Blurays seem to have hit Poundland this week - saw this, Apartment 1303, The Tall Man, Everything Must Go and a few non-descript, made-for-tv type films.

Spot on! I remember this being advertised with a Kick-Ass hype which did a disservice to the actual film and left people disappointed.

This is a very dark movie, but very good IMO.

it was badly advertised as a kickass type of film on release, whereas its really a film about mental illness with a blackly comic streak.

if your expecting an action film or you rate marvel films or pirates of the Caribbean 10/10 on imdb you will be disappointed. if you are looking for something a bit different then this is worth a go.

Really, really strange film. Couldn't decide what it wanted to be. One second it's a comedy, the other it's violent action, the next it's drama. You get the impression that the team thought they were adding variety to accommodate everyone whereas they in fact just made a messy, generally confusing film where scenes simply didn't stitch up in any sort of coherent fashion.

Bizarre film but not in a good way. Watch it if you're curious but watching it is a pretty frustrating ordeal.

Wasn't great - amusingly different though, and reasonably watchable - but FAR from the worst.

I too found this a better satire than Kickass (both good films though) and something of an underrated gem.

I sold my copy off while it was still new, but if I spot one for a quid I'll pick it up again.

Found it yesterday in the Birkenhead Rock Retail Park branch. No cardboard sleeve though.

Also, belated congratulations to Birkenhead on becoming a 3-Poundland town.

Love this film. Take it for what it is, not a massively high budget hollywood blockbuster that takes itself seriously. If you like black comedies... give this a go.

Love Kickass but thought this was only ok, £1 is about the right price for it :smiley:
