Standard price for one of these seems to be about a tenner, although to be fair, the marked RRP is only £5 anyway.
I wanted one a few weeks back and compared Amazon, Argos and B&Q and they all wanted £10 for their cheapest.
I do wonder though, are these still as important as they used to be with modern electronics and houses running off circuit breaker type fuseboxes anyway? It occurred to me that maybe these are a waste of money because the household circuit breaker would cut out anyway, but I don't really know what I'm talking about, so I've been using one anyway.

If your fusebox has all RCD then you don't need them, it has been regulation since 2008, so depends if you have had new fusebox since. Mind you I suppose if you use these in addition, then this would trip first rather than your fusebox circuit. Of course would you trust your life to a £2.99 device?
