It's definitely worth owning one at the moment with the brilliant GwG titles and EA Access.

Lol yeah I know that situation. Thanks for your help will probably add the two cheap 3 month live cards to my lil ones account and share that. Just wish MS would allow us to turn off just auto installs and not auto updates as well (unless I've missed a setting).

Mine's set up similar
Stole your words to use as my own below, but edited for my setup:
We have ours set up like this.
Console A (mine)
Console B (My mates)
First time i set it up approx two years ago.
He signed my account (Gold member/EA access subscriber) into console B set as Home console, then deleted my profile from console.
I signed my account into console A, saved the account as open access no boundaries
We play under our own account on our own xbox, i have access to everything naturally.
I make all the purchases, he gives me half the money

You can definitely do it with just one Gold account. I have two Xbox One's, one's mine and the others my partners. My account is used for all purchases, and is the only one with Gold, we get all digital games on both, as well as everything from EA Access, and we're both able to play online together no problem.
Edit: Yes that includes playing co-op together in the same game at the same time.

TYVM I'll try it when my live expires this week, can I ask do you and your son play the same game online at the same time?

I have ours set up like this.
Console A (mine)
Console B (My sons)
First time i set it up two years ago.
Signed my account (Gold member/EA access subscriber) into console B set as Home console, logged out.
Signed my sons account into Console A set as Home console, logged out.
We play under our own account on our own xbox, i have access to everything naturally.
The trade offs for sharing one gold sub My son can't use gold features on xbox 360 console ( not an issue we no longer own any), can't access EA access trials or take advantage of deals with gold discounts ( I have to purchase those for him) other than that he has access to everything even online play/party's via Backwards compatability.
Anything he downloads installs to my xbox automatically, he has to go to ready to install list to download
Anything I download auto installs on his xbox, and auto installs on mine.
My console is in the preview program, his isn't
We play under our own tag on our own consoles , he never has to sign mine in on his console the same applys with his account never needs to be signed in on mine.
That ladies and gentlemen concludes todays long winded lesson in one cheapo gold sub for two consoles.

nope have two xbox ones at home we both have access to everything with me being the actual gold subscriber my son can't manually download the GWG titles ( I have to) once i do we can both play them online at the same time.
only thing he doesn't get access to is EA access trials.
Have done this for two years now with no issue

Profile 1 has gold and is saved on profile 2's home Xbox.
Profile 2 plays from their own profile but uses the sharing of gold from profile 1.
Profile 1 doesn't save as home Xbox but logs in to play on their gold account

not necessarily, I let my 8 year old son play Battlefront and he plays with his mates as other parents also let them play, I certainly wont be letting him play Battlefield.

My first thought.
A price drop is normally a good sign EA access is imminent.
Will definately be renewing my EA in November, been well worth the £12 I paid.
And yes you can share , I logged into my brothers console and he now uses all my stuff.

22 Jun 16#32
I'd say if one account has gold how would that apply to the 2nd consol as you have to click 'share gold on this consol' on the gold screen? I'm willing to stand corrected though as it'd save a few quid! I read that if both go to play the same game the one without the gold sub gets logged out as the gold subscription owning account gets priority. *confused face*
zombrex
22 Jun 16#31
what if i told you that you only need 1 gold sub too, obviously the account with the gold sub has to download the GWG titles but both can play the games online too. This also works for BC titles (the account without gold will be classed as silver on a 360 console though)

you can definitely share EA access. I live in Spain and share with a Mate in the UK. My profile is just on his Xbox sat doing nothing other than letting him use all my stuff and vice versa. We only have one EA access between us.
NIgelK
22 Jun 16#27
Yep we share EA access. We both need gold subs incase we're on at the same time as gold can only be shared on one home consol.

22 Jun 16#26
Hmmm.... definitely sounds like you're sharing the EA Access, I need to have another look into it (not wanting to teach you to such eggs, but you do know that you only need one Gold subs between you though don't you?).
Cheers

Glad I'm not the only one! I only really enjoy campaign modes especially those with a strong narrative. Else I can't see the point of doing the same thing over and over....like I have hundreds of others I havent even opened. Coop campaign/multiplayer can be pretty cool though (but few and far between).

I'm with you there - I seem to be one of the few gamers who only buys games for their single player content.

22 Jun 16#23
Yes he has his account on mine & vice versa, we have separate gold subs, my consol is his 'home' XB1 and vice versa as well so when I leech his games and play together we don't get logged out. Also his star wars season pass is used on my account as well which saved a few quid.

Good price for new, I found ir in reading cash generator for £7.99, but didnt like it at all as no single player...doh!. Loved the star wars sounds though, but only so many times you can hear a blaster before that novelty wears off. My brother however loves it though

When you say "leeching" do you mean that you are logging in as him on your XO or are you sharing his EA account as you can with downloaded games?!? I had some of the 1mth EA Access codes but although we share all of our DL games, EA Access didn't seem to share? if it does let you share, I'll definitely subscribe!!

Don't you four all own a ps4 too though??? This isn't that good that you need it on both.
Keep the sweet cute little Xbox for Forza and Halo plus the backward features...
I mean backward compatibility... My bad.
All joking aside.
It is almost time for me to take plunge and get a Xbox one

Picked up the 1tb Division deal a few weeks back (with nectar points to spend as well), leaching of the lil ones EA access as he had an XB1 at Xmas, not had a ps4 but the XB1 seems a decent bit of kit. Retired my ancient ps3 last week.

It's the price Xbox One owners have been waiting for (all 4 of them :smirk:).
As mentioned Amazon is ~£12.60 and Simply Games have it at £14.99 for PS4. CDKeys have PC for £13.29.
