Thought Star Wars Battlefront was a bargain a few days ago? It's even cheaper now at an unbelievably low £13.82. If you've ever been on the fence about the game, now's definitely a good time to pick it up.

Great price, but just checked the reviews apparently need pay a lot for the DLC to experience a full game? Will wait for a full game version or more reasonable priced DLC, plenty of back log games to play anyway.

Ditto. Picked up Destiny with the first two expansions and The Taken King for £20.00 the other week and am still playing my way through that, a tonne of content there to be enjoyed! I'm getting fed up with games being released where you get about half of the planned content for full price. I wouldn't mind so much if they did it like episodic gaming where the initial release is around £20.00 and a season pack around the same price but these half baked games are coming out at £40.00+- and they're expecting people to put nearly that in to it again to get the full experience. Terrible.
That being said, I'm not poopooing this very good price for the game at the minute, just the state of gaming. Heat added.

I'd say get it! There is enough content to not need any dlc. By the time a complete version is out, there will be better Star Wars games out hopefully. Also, this is worth this cheap price, but it's not worth the £35 a complete version would likely cost...

I've got the DLC but to be honest I just play walker assault, slightly embarrassed to say I have passed 240 hours on this game. I turn the playstation on with intentions to go on something else, but I end up on Battlefront, walker assault every time.

Does anyone know the difference between the standard edition & day one edition??
Thanks

Day one you might have gotten some themes with it, or a blaster they've probably patched and ruined, nothing major. No extra maps or anything like that.

I've already bought it but I hate it when prices drop like this you never know whether to hold out for a bit more or if you'll miss the boat :smirk:

buy it now, not worth paying full price for the extra maps that half the community won't own anyway

It's down to £13.77 now. I've been watching the price for the last day or so and it seems to drop by a couple of pence every hour or so. Where's it going to stop!!??

Damn they ARE desperate to shift it. Just sit it out and wait for the game to be finished - then definitely buy it once they've stopped trying to milk it. I'd only buy this at the £5 mark.

I reckon it's a promotion that EA are doing via Amazon (to tie in with E3)... Why else would every other retailer be charging over £20 for the game?
Personally, I think dropping the price is a great strategy. Especially as it keeps the game relevant and expands the market.

EA are offering the PC version for £16.66 right now so not quite. As everyone has now come to concede - it was released unfinished and unbalanced, and needed big patches. I think this is a very cynical move to try to tempt people but my will is a bit stronger and massive Star Wars fan as I am (I'm now going to all THREE days of Star Wars Celebration for example) I'm not giving in to such a cynical baiting exercise. Finish it, stick all the content you should have put in the original release, THEN you got a sale.

Ah, you're good... I find myself as someone who only plays games for a few hours before getting bored. The whole notion of spending 10's to 100's of hours just seems baffling to me.
I knew I'd only be getting about 2-5 hours (at most) from Battlefront, so thought that the game was a good deal.

If you are thinking of getting a PlayStation VR even better the VR level(s) will be FREE if you own this. Judging by the demo I've bought this JUST for them!!
