Leather strap not for everyone but this looks to be the cheapest this one has ever been. Still £229.99 from Sony.

Well I got the Moto 360 Dark Chrome for Christmas and loved it...particularly the design and that it had a heart rate sensor that the Sony did not. However, the inserts that connect the strap to the watch broke in several places(John Lewis very kindly replaced the entire watch), the battery is terrible and I thought it had GPS but it doesn't and it also is rumoured that it won't get the Android Wear 2.0 update. So I've just bought the Sony in stainless steel(that's when I spotted this leather one!). Hope that helps.

This if you value tough, practical and up-to-date, Moto 360 if you value bling.

Thanks for that  How much did you pay for the stainless steel Sony?

It's £130 on Amazon from the same link as this one. I was tempted by the leather but reasoned that the stainless strap is £54.99 from Sony(though out of stock) so this way I have the expensive strap but could always buy the leather or silicone at a later date as they are £29.99.

Good find and very tempted. Do any of these gps watches let you use standalone maps or navigation?

Given the black plastic strap watch has been on sale with immediate delivery recently for £85 at CPW & Very is this really a good deal, or just the new standard price for SS3?

Got one of these recently with black strap from Very with wife's voucher for £59 still showing as £89 at the moment, fantastic and great fun to use but Wi-Fi can be a bit iffy disconnecting sometimes if you need Wi-Fi that is. To be honest just being able to change watch faces alone was worth it for the money as its like a new watch each time you change the face. I would definitely buy again.

Had one for about six months, good watch, but hankering after a second version Moto 360. Just after something that looks more like a nice watch than a gadget, also, the best watch faces seem to be for round faced watches.

I have the stainless steel version and the core piece is the same on all of these. The big benefits for me are that I can wear the stainless steel in work and then when I want to go for a run just pop the core watch module into a second sports strap I bought for it. GPS in it means I can leave my phone at home and still track my run and the biggest bonus is it's transflective screen. This actually makes a huge difference as the screen is always visible, even in direct sunlight, an issue a lot of smartwatches with fancier OLED screens struggle with. My previous LG G Watch always struggled with this.

I've had this watch for ages. Annoying that different straps such as this leather one are so hard to come by!

I've had both, and found the GPS on the Sony SW3 drains your battery in about an hour, it was also pretty inaccurate, but that could go down to many factors.
Moto 360 battery isn't brilliant, but its not far off the SW3 for me so far. I found turning off the Moto body app which tracks your heart rate regular worked well, and disabling Google Fit. as both as constantly polling your movement.
The best thing about the Moto 360 is it's looks, especially the stainless steel version, and the screen with 'real' watch faces makes a massive difference to the muddy looking SW3. But it all depends on what you want to use it for I guess.

Damn! I bought one used for cheap and by the time I got the strap adapter and a 3rd party strap it almost cost as much as this ( customs & Royal Mail charge). The adapter is ugly and big!!!! If you have skinny or small wrists....FORGET IT! I'm using it because I paid a lot but it was a bad purchase. Having had a couple android wear watches the Sony is great at outdoor viewing and activities but it's probably the worst looking and the fancy leather won't help in the style stakes.

Does anybody know if there is a good adapter for the face, so that it can use standard watch straps? (like my SW2 does)

I looked again at the models the leather ones have different housing. I wish I'd known this long ago. I avoided the SW3 due to the all-in-one design. So this def takes 24mm straps?

That's what I meant when I said 'this one can use standard straps'...Sorry if I was unclear.
