I have one of these. Keeps perfect time but beware, it has a very loud tick.
It's showing the wrong time mate. It's 5.11pm as I post.

I second this.
Useful for like a garage or shed or something, but if you put it in your bedroom or kitchen or living room you will be driven mad.

Personally, I would rather pay slightly more and get one that is quieter or silent. The loud ticking would sound even louder when a room is quiet, so will keep you up, if you're trying to sleep if it was in your bedroom. I was actually thinking that might be the reason why they're being sold off this cheap. Thanks for the confirmation Tim2011.

I believe you will have better value for money by buying clocks from amazon warehouse deals. it costs a bit more (£2-7 ish) but it lasts longer, looks nicer, and you might get some nice features e.g. silent clock.

Much prefer quieter clocks with sweeping hands but they seem to cost quite a fair bit.

Same here, have had one for years..can't remember for how long now, but it keeps good time and as you say, it has a loud tick. Probably uses the same movement from China found in much more expensive clocks.
Good find OP, heated.

You can get a pack of batteries to fit this from wilko's for 50p. Therefore you don't have to spend more on batteries than you did on the clock

How much is it to go to Wilko because my one is £20 cab fare and £5 bus ride so it's more worse for me to buy from Wilko il walk to my Argos and get it from there ok

In my lifetime I or my friends etc. have had several electric clocks like this or posher and never did they have a tick, or even a tock so these must be unique.
By the way it's about time this deal came around.

I guess OK for £2, I thought. So I ordered a couple and went to collect them at my local Argos. What a load of cheap, nasty, low quality rubbish.
I returned them on the spot. Definitely not worth even the low price, possibly 50p worth, at most.
COLD for quality I'm afraid.
