Was helping a mate out who needed a Dual SIM Windows 10 Mobile Handset for a work project he's doing, when I came across this listing on Argos's eBay UK Store - thought it prudent to list in case other members were interested at all.
Note that listing ends at back of 1:00am on Tuesday June 14th, so I don't know if the price will go back up then or not - listed below are the details from the eBay listing but note that this is handset is Sim Free and also it's a slightly changed version of the Archos 50 Cesium Handset.
EDIT - It appears you can click and collect with this one, as my mate's managed to get his picked up in store within the last 20 minutes.
EDIT 2 - It's relisted at the same price again, so if anybody is interested it's still available to be purchased if you go through the deal link.
EDIT 3 - This deal has expired but another one is available with a price of £49.95p - that deal thread can be accessed via the following link, with the direct link (for easy clicking) at the end of the 1st Post.

Looks like the surface phone will be the future. However until they release an x86 compatible phone capable of running android apps either natively or by some sort of emulation like bluestacks I don't think they'll ever catch on.
Now a next gen Core M style phone with widi/HDMI out, 4/8gb ram and 128gb mSSD for under £1000, with a £500 dock that doubles up as a high capacity battery/larger SSD/projector/extra core M CPU/external GPU for processing / graphics would be very very tempting and probably ground breaking.

I don't believe you can but I could be wrong as the original model it's based on, Archos 50 Cesium, came as either Android or Windows Mobile as the OS.

For info it has 1 GB RAM. Not sure why it's not part of the sellers phone specs. I'm not sure though whether windows phones are more efficient than androids OS. Still voted hot and thanks OP

The Lumia 550 Handset I had, before giving it to my Nephew had a 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage - it was pretty decent for me and I didn't encounter any major issues.
It's still a decent mobile OS to work with IMHO - appreciate Microsoft have sold off the Mobile Business Branch (essentially Nokia, who they purchased) but there is a number of OEMs working on pushing out & promoting they're respective Windows 10 Mobile Handsets. A big one just now is HP, as they are investing a lot of money into it plus there's talk of Microsoft releasing a Surface Handset next year - catch is nobody knows what the exact specs will be for it other than the Windows 10 Mobile OS.
Cheers for letting us know about that one - I won't be able to see that until my handset is fully charged up and I've fully sobered up with at least eight pints of water and a dozen cans of Irn Bru!!!

Am I right in thinking this is running a Snapdragon 210?!
(My Blu Win HD LTE - for sale for a chunk less than this Bush - has a Snapdragon 410...and I really can't imagine a 5" 720p screen phone running fluidly on something less!)

Do people still buy Windows phones? I hear they are on their way out as M$ has made most of the employees redundant in Finland and are not supporting the apps development and updates! They have killed the mobile handset business and will only license the Nokia patents.

Microsoft are restructuring their phone hardware business, not their software business. This just means that you will see less windows phones made by Microsoft themselves, and more made by other manufacturers. The remaining Lumia team have been merged with the Surface team.
Microsoft updates Windows 10 Mobile far more frequently than Google updates Android, or Apple updates iOS. A cumulative stable update (containing bug fixes and minor new features) is released every month on patch Tuesday, and they update their fast ring (beta) branch every 1-2 weeks with new features

The Bush runs surprisingly well for such a lowly processor. The only place where it really makes itself felt is in the Action Centre, which runs at a lower framerate when pulled down over the start screen (it runs at full speed if pulled down over an app).

That was a key item for me - I had purchased the WileyFox Swift Handset, via a recent deal on HUKD, and I really wasn't liking it at all...I've already had a second replacement sent through and I thought I'd give the Windows 10 Mobile OS another bash.
chancooluk
13 Jun 16#21
Just make sure you update it to the latest build, and allow all of the apps to update automatically (especially the store app). The pre-installed OS version (10586.0) is a mess, because MS released it before it was ready.
Scotty Boy
13 Jun 16#22
+1 - I had read about that when I was having issues with my previous handset, the Lumia 550. It's a bit of a pain that Microsoft didn't update their own handsets along with passing on that information onto the OEMs. I'll be doing that tomorrow, when hopefully I'll be sobered up and the hangover won't have killed me!

14 Jun 16#24
From what I remember you need to do either a soft or hard reset on the handset after doing an update of the Mobile OS - I remember doing this whilst using my Lumia 550 Handset, after the battery performance dropped after an update; it didn't take to long to sort out and get everything back up & running again.
Scotty Boy
14 Jun 16#25
Quick Update - I'm presently updating the Windows 10 Mobile OS on the handset; as mentioned by chancooluk my handset did come with the older unstable release, which does work but needs the updates to improve the overall performance & stability.
Some odd things on my handset were it didn't have the English UK Language Support in place on it - I had to download that from the Microsoft servers prior to kicking off the main OS update; my mate on the other hand had it fully in place and after comparing his handset with mine, his was actually running the updated OS (one revision back if I remember correctly) with the English UK Support in place as well.
Any questions at all please let me know and I'll see if I can answer them accordingly for you - if not me then hopefully somebody else!

Update 2 - Finally managed to get the handset updated! My router's WiFi connectivity died overnight, so I had to pop out to a local Starbucks in Aberdeen.
The handset has been updated to release 10.0.10586.420 - once that was done, which took a while as the place was mobbed, the handset was manually restarted and the OS update was installed. After that the handset rebooted and carried out a 'data migration' to get everything installed up to release version.
Next step after that was going into the Microsoft Store - at this point my handset, and that of mate's, had 25 pre-installed applications which needed to be updated. The way it's set-up by default is to download and install all of them in one go - myself I prefer to do it one at a time, primarily so I can keep an eye on any potential errors that could crop up, which is what I did with the total used space increasing from 2.87GB to 3.18GB out of 14.5GB worth of available internal disk space (note that some of that is virtual memory used by the OS as well).
Right now I'm hunting out my listed of preferred Applications & Utilities (haven't used the Windows Mobile OS in a while) and once I've got that I'll crack onto the next step with getting the handset set-up with my Microsoft Account, installing the Applications & Utilities and finally setting it up for access to my GMail accounts before looking at installing the Windows Insider Preview Utility, to install additional 'stable' OS updates.
Whilst I remember the 2nd SIM Slot on the handset only support 2G based connectivity, as I confirmed that today with two different SIM Cards that I had - Vodafone PAYG and Life Mobile Contract (30 Day).
EDIT - Whilst I remember, it took a while to download the OS and Application Updates due the volume of customers at Starbucks - it took roughly two & half a hours to complete everything, with the battery dropping down from a fully charge of 100% down to 73%. You literally have to leave it running away by itself, to ensure there are no issues with running applications in the background - IF I was doing this at home it would have been a lot faster than it was at Starbucks, based upon previous updates I've done with other Android & Windows Mobile 8, 8.1 & 10 Handsets.
Unfortunately I've been in hospital for the last few days and I only got back online late last night - I've expired this deal thread, to allow the other one to run as the main deal one.
No probs mate, just wanted to help out those that needed a hand.

28 Jun 16#31
Hi There, can you confirm if you reset the handset after doing the update to .420 but also did you update the Microsoft Store App first before updating the rest of the bundled apps and then installing the additional ones.
Can you confirm which apps are you having problems with - are they the standard bundled ones on the handset or are they additional apps that you've installed via the Microsoft Store?
aishakhan894
29 Jun 16#32
Hello, I did reset the handset after the update but I am not sure about the Microsoft app. I installed the additional apps after the bundled ones. The apps that are giving me grief are the additional ones ( Amazon, Ebay, Barclays Bank, etc).
Scotty Boy
29 Jun 16#33
What's the issues your encountering and any chance you post the links to the apps to confirm they are the valid ones.
aishakhan894
29 Jun 16#34
Whenever I need to type something in app the screen goes completely black, be it a search item from amazon or eBay or my pin for Barclays or even searching for a ringtone from an app, they all go black. The keyboard comes up but I can't see anywhere to write on. I have no idea how to post the links, I am afraid.
Scotty Boy
30 Jun 16#35
I've tried replicating your fault on my handset and I'm not getting the same issue via the Amazon App but saying that it's not that great when I'm using it over Mobile Data- via WiFi it's perfectly fine if a bit slow. I would it peg it done to the App for that on my handset but not sure about yours, as I'm getting the keyboard popping up with no problems - the Barclays App I can't test as I don't have an account with them at all.
