Part of the Ramadan deals that are currently going on. 10KG of Basmati rice and a much better quality than the Amira one they have for £8.

Asians comprise 60% of the world's diabetics, so yeah. Rice alone isn't the cause but white rice doesn't exactly help, either.http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3382707/
Asians comprise of 60% of the world population. What BS?
AFAIK Basmati rice absorb less water than other varieties of rices hence is recommended for people with endomorphic (kapha) body types...or in simple terms, the "fat b*******".
I would like to recommend Trophy rice that are currently on offer at Sainsburys £10 for 10kg. Cook very well. Pilao rice cooked with these are just out of this world.( I have no business interest with Trophy or Sainsburys )

Bought amira rice last year when it was offer, and was good. However, this year the quality and taste isn't the same...way too soft. Went for the kohinoor offer in tesco instead, haven't heard of this brand before.

Also bought Amira rice once. They were fat and absorbed the water. Noorani rice ate really good quality also.
