Had a fair few copies in Manchester, the single disc version is usually considerably more than this
Senna is the true story of Brazilian motor-racing legend, Ayrton Senna, whom many believe was the greatest driver who ever lived.Spanning Senna's titanic Formula One career, the film charts his physical and spiritual journey, both on track and off; his quest for perfection and his ultimate transformation from a supremely gifted novice, who exploded into F1 in 1984, to myth after the tragic events of Imola in 1994. Made with the full co-operation of the Senna family and Formula One Management, Senna is the first official documentary feature about his life, featuring astounding archive material, much of which is previously unseen.

I actually saw the film in a showing where the Director attended, I wanted to speak to him and praise him for the really special film he had spent years making, only I was so emotionally raw I couldnt really speak. A really special film, not just for motor racing fans either.

I might have gone to the same screening as you. This was at the BFI IMAX in London at the last showing. James Allen was also there too. I managed to get my ticket signed by the director as well. Still have it:
But yeah, I gave my thanks to the film and I think my bro and his friends spent a couple of minutes speaking to him after that as well. And he was generally a really nice bloke

Must see if you haven't already. Echo the others in saying you'll enjoy it even if not a hardcore F1 fan.

Brilliant film. As an avid watcher of F1 in the 90's this was a real eye opener in terms of a lot more behind the scenes filming than you would expect and a lot more information about Senna that I never knew at the time. Great price deal, voted hot

This comes with an extended version in addition to the theatrical version. I strongly recommend that you watch the theatrical version first. The extended version includes longer interview segments which spoil the pacing of the film thus lessening the overall impact.

Ha ha I assume you had never heard of Asif Kapadia either?
From IMDB 'Kapadia's feature documentary SENNA (Universal Pictures / Working Title, 2011), the thrilling story of the Brazilian motor-racing legend Ayrton Senna, was a break out hit at the international box office. The film was Nominated for three BAFTA awards, winning Best Documentary and Best Editing, as well as being nominated for Best British Film. SENNA broke records at the cinema and on DVD & Bluray in the UK. The film has won many awards around the world including the World Cinema Documentary Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival, Best Documentary at the London Critics Circle, the BIFA award for Best Documentary, the Audience Award for Best International Feature at the Los Angeles Film Festival and was nominated by the Producers Guild of America for the Documentary Theatrical Motion Picture Award 2012.''
Senna is up there with the top 10% docu-movies ever made.

Emotional constipation? Yes. Dietary? Not so much.
I have zero interest in cars, F1 etc - but this is a brilliant film. A documentary that almost feels like a drama because of the wealth of footage available and how it is assembled. Impossible not to be drawn in.
