Most cheap lease deals are 5k mileage. You will struggle to get 8/10k for this price. As a second car, 5k for us is ample.

But this is still a 1.2cc and not a very good deal with the low mileage

Appearance, VW parts, reputation, plasticy and poor reliability but apart from that it's ok. Had several VAG cars mainly Audis.....never again.

I seen a deal on a diff website which was similar. However was over 3 years but monthly payments worked out to be £139ish as well. It was 10,000 miles p/a instead of the 5,000 here!

Pretty sure you're better off buying the 1.0 FR, same power just 9.3s to 60 instead of 9.1s and better fuel economy

Interesting but not seen a good deal on one. Also the 1.0 is 3 cylinder whilst this is 4. I'm not a big fan of 3cyl.

The 1.0 3 cyl in the fabia is great. It's not fast by any means but sounds throaty and sporty even if it's not! Suits me for Manchester rush hour traffic every day. Wouldn't be suitable as a country lane type of engine.

They were company cars! There were only A4's or Passat to pick from. 200,000 miles across four cars is a decent enough test.....

Getting a VW engine isn't a selling point these days, the Polo I owned a couple of years ago was constant trouble chewing through lambda sensors and coil packs and with a constant engine management light. Even a main dealer admitted to selling brand new cars and them coming back the same day with the engine management light on. You buy a Seat or VW and you get Seat build quality and parts with VW stamps to try and suck in the die hard VW fans.

Pretty sure the 1.0 TSI is more expensive. I mean if someone can find a similar deal for the same price great, however I think you'll struggle. Also bear in mind there's a couple of different versions of the 1.0 TSI available in the Ibiza.

I have the 1.2 TSI in the FR trim and I've had it just over two years now. Been a great little car, hasn't cost me a single penny other than fuel and servicing. Came from a car that did 0-60 in 6.7 seconds and I don't miss it that much. It's a fairly fun car on back roads, just got to keep the speed up and corner quickly to have fun.

Yes, granted you can't steer it with the throttle or induce and correct lift-off oversteer on a whim but it's still fairly fun. Would be better if it didn't have such awful Pirelli tyres on it.

In their defence they could have been company cars, when I had them I didn't have much choice on offer. Last one I had before leaving was a Passat which I thought when ordering would be really nice and it was comfy but it arrived broken (rear light disco) and drank engine oil from the minute I got it. It was MUCH nicer than the Focus estate I had prior to that though that just broke down all the time and threw a piston at 79,000 miles requiring a new (free) engine and 10,000 miles later blew a head gasket just before it was due to go back and the poor sod tried to drive it back to Liverpool from Norwich - BOOM

Thought so, funny why would they offer Passat and A4 they're the same car? Presumably the Passat was top of the range and the A4 not so?

Yeah pretty much the A4 was lower spec to the VW. The new lease company is much better, can top up or opt out.

It's not Seats fault don't blame them that VW have gone to the dogs and made terrible decisions, it seems to be affecting all German car makers at the moment they've all gone to the dogs look at Mercedes brand new cars constantly breaking down, engine management lights on etc they're truly terrible for reliability.

Think I shall stick to my bangernomics right now:

2003 Mondeo est Ghia X 2.5 V6 140,000 miles £500 and the interior (apart from the door grabs common problem) is absolutely mint, all the gadgets still work perfectly and in 3 years i've spent £400 on tyres Michelin and £600 on repairs/MOT the car has been awesome even if fuel economy isn't but it's fun watching the look on peoples faces when they see their car get left for dust by a Mondeo estate. I even got lucky in an accident in it an elderly lady didn't even slow down at a give way and drove into the wing, bounced off nearly rolled her car and continued driving, had to flag her down to stop! No damage to the Mondeo but phoned insurance because first thing she said was why didn't you see me and I didn't see you. Two days later a cheque from Saga arrived for £1800 - RESULT

Best car i've ever owned tbh. I had a 3 year old Citroen C4 Grand Picasso before this and in 8 months:

Brake pads £35
Rear suspension airbag £189
Compressor and airbags £160
Aircon bracket collapsed £400 (drill bolts out, new bracket, belt etc)
Fuel filter £140

NEVER AGAIN will I buy a 3 year old car!!!

If anything I would lease a car at least that way when you do have problems (and you will) you can shout at the lease company to sort it out. At the VERY least pay £100 of your car on a credit card so if you have problems and the dealer won't fix you can make a section 75 claim.

People driving 1.2 Fabias don't race other cars. People who drive fast cars won't be smoked by 8.3 to 60. :-)

I've got one of these coming on Tuesday from KG auto lease. Picked it up for £147 per month on 3+23 with no admin fee, so if anyone is looking for one with a lower upfront t cost they may be worth getting in touch with. That comes with 8k miles

Not a bad price buy sadly the limited 5000 mileage will be ofputting for most.

Also people who have cars that do 0-60 in 8.3 are getting smoked by 20-somethings in hot hatches.

Its a pity the website does not say what the price per mile is for over use - could be as low as 9.99p a mile which would only be and additional £300 for 3000 miles.

​ There's always someone that has to post about 'bangernomics' on a lease thread. It's pot luck most of the time when you buy a banger. I used to buy bangers for quite a few years. Had a few good ones, but on the whole I worked out I'd saved very little. I lease now, and enjoy worry free motoring in a modern car with modern tech. Never again would I buy a banger.

For anyone interested, I asked for 10,000 mile (3+23) quote:
Initial payment: £404.13
Admin fee: £360
Monthly: £134.71

All VAT inclusive.

That's my point.....multiple faults on all them all within 50k

60% more miles/year yet only £163 extra over 2 years. I gave it heat by surprisingly it got the iceberg treatment. Not disparaging your deal, but thought that one was the better of the 2.
