Point taken, but they do have a place. I'm looking for a TV for the wall in kitchen and there is something in having an all-in-one solution with no boxes/sticks/wires needed and one remote. Especially if you have kids who like hiding them.

Good deal, hot, but to say smart TVs are useless is understating their use, my little brothers use smart features like youtube and netflix connectivity non stop and to say they are not worth it is, to my family at least, simply not true. They might be useless to you and this is still a fantastic deal, but smart TVs are worth the price (if you get a good deal :smiley: )

smart tv's are a waste of money, all I need is a screen. Everything else can be done better by other devices susch as android boxes, streamers, tivo etc. Don't even want speakers because you can't put anything other than rubbish speakers in a flatscreen. Not even a tuner is necessary.

I do agree, if they could focus all money on the panel, and make sure it has the typical wide array of connections that a tv would have, I think they'd have a hot item!

I've had a smart tv (and 3D) and can probably count on one hand the amount of times ive used either in 4 years.
