As extra storage for a Surface Pro the speed would be okay on these wouldn't it?

I've ordered from these guys in the past and had a fake memory card. Refuse to purchase anything from them again.

The one I ordered from them (not this one, the replacement for this) was fine.
There are people in Amazon comments who claim to have had these fake from Amazon. Not market, themselves. So what can you do? Just have to take a chance, buy it, and sent it back if it is.
Better than Lexar and Sandisk in my experience*. Not tried other brands.
*to be fair, my experience of the other brands is a few years old. I can't in all honest say their current cards are not good. But I *can* state that this Samsung card is good because I have 4.

This is a great card. currently using in my phone. I have just ordered the 128gb Toshiba m302 micro sd from amazon. has 20% off for prime so worked out at £26.11 and is uhs class 3 rated so should be considerably higher speed. For an extra £4 to move from class 1 to class 3 I think it's worth the small difference. however I'm yet to test the cards side by side for speed to see if it really will be that much faster. I'm hoping it is as I like to record in 4k

I'm a Prime member, but it's showing up as 30 for me - did you have to use a code? Or has it just gone up in price? Cheers

to my experience, reliability of SD card is more important than transfer speed. I would prefer Samsung compared to unknown quality of toshiba (on sdcard). but that's just my opinion.

I nearly went for the Samsung card but ordered the Toshiba card the other day at £27.99 with a promotional code. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01EAKAUUK/ I have an S7 Edge and would like a quick card for 4k recording. Usually the speeds quoted are burst speeds and this might not be sustained for video.
U1 means that it is guaranteed to transfer at a minimum of 10 MB/s whereas U3 it's guaranteed to transfer at a minimum of 30 MB/s.
I used to backup my camera to my computer. Soon I'll be backing up my computer to my camera.

Its U1 class 10, HD standard but not 4k, a little slow tbh but perfect for a old digital camera. U3 is the way to go

i didn't have to use a code. Just below the item (make sure to select amazon as seller think there's currently a delay of a couple of weeks for stock) there's a thing that says collect voucher 20% off. click it then at checkout it's applied.
A CrystalDiskMark screenshot would help clear up the confusion. Maybe an owner can oblige?

Toshiba are a large well established company, I don't know why you would consider them less reliable than Samsung.
I've never had a legitimate non hacked sd card fail (over past 12years) some of my very first are still in use (128mb from Jessops).
The only ones I had that failed were from my early days buying sd's from ebay. Since about 2006 I've only ever bought sd's from reputable retailers. Never resellers on Amazon and never from ebay. All cards still going strong. One unbranded one which came free with a Quadcopter camera even works properly after 2 years still!

Upcoming deal on Amazon for a Lexar jump drive for iPhones, similar to the LEEF devices. Not as large capacity and more expensive but still quite useful.

Is there a drive where you can insert the SD card into while at the same time it's inserted into the iPhone?

Here's a quick CrystalDiskMark of this SD card though the SD card is about 40% full so that might impact the tests.
Compared to a 32GB Evo+ model (apples and bananas I know)
So if you want fast, you want an Evo+, but if you want cheap and not silly slow, the standard Evo should do you fine.
Just posted a link to one which has been flagged for moderation but having looked again, it seems that Apple make their own card reader for the iDevices. There are multiple cheap copies available on eBay too but no guarantee to their reliability.
