New Radiohead album only £5.99 on iTunes seems very cheap to me

Actually iTunes is basically glorified renting. Read the small print and you don't own any of it.

OK, you just buy a license to play it and can't pass it on once you die etc. The same for any digital media you purchase from any company. I'm sure that help a lot of people in deciding to spend £6 on a new album.

As I already said above, with iTunes you just buy a license to play it and can't pass it on once you die etc, the same for any digital media you purchase from any company. Pretty much a non-issue as far as I'm concerned, I only buy the odd thing digitally, mostly still buy physical.
