ARGH - More games i'll have gathering dust!

Me trying not to buy them...

Dirt you need to be really slow, drive like a Grandma and just stay on the track. You would be surprised at where you come in the rankings.

I've had races where people could have got out and pushed and it would have been faster, and still finished top 3. There have been times where I wondered if my co-driver was just going to say "FFS I give up" and get out of the car and walk off, and I still finished in the top 3.

In the harder tournaments the competition is much fiercer, but then often people get punctures, engine failures etc, so I had a few races where I was overtaken by a hedgehog and still finished 4th.

Been trying to get naruto at a decent price, looked in game they wanted £40 preowned was like no, checked in cex and they said if they got one in at £28 preowned would let me know was prepared to pay that as thought it good deal, but brand new at £19.99 ....wowzers saved me some money there thanks! :smile:

One more question please. Can I play with soon in co-op mode online and also me against him split screen?

Bit at £12.99 for battlefront...now I just need to find a decent price to renew my PS+

They do this initially. Once upgraded your car will take off faster at the start.

Can't decide which to get, WRC or Seb. :/

It will either be because it's just a more popular game on the Xbox 1 or it could just be down to them ordering too much stock of the PS4 version and them getting the stock just right for the Xbox 1.

I think it's good for this price mainly for the novelty value. A 12 year old could easily play this, my 7 year old nephew regularly beats me at it :smirk:

Is Star Wars battlefront really any good, love to buy it but seen a lot of mixed reviews. Could a 12 year play this do you think - I know its a 16?

Dirt is an awesome game, hard but fair. It really sorts out the men from the boys! :-)

Try shorter gear ratio and practice getting off the line. It took me ages to learn the proper way to start without dropping revs and getting left for dust.

Are you getting a good start off the line, or are the opposition steaming ahead leaving you in the 'dirt' right from the off?

Cheers man. I'm seriously going to take this on board. I wouldn't consider myself bad at driving games, I've had hours ploughed into Project CARS, Forza and the Gran Turismo series to name a few. I mean PC seriously sent me loopy at the start, so much so that I sold it in anger (only to purchase again). But DIRT, we'll that little annoyance is on a whole new level :smile:

Buzz, have you tried the above settings I have posted? My advice is keep at it. Do the custom championship thing to get 10k per retired race. It does not take long to get 350K. Get the DS3, it's the hardest to control but the fastest and you get used to it. Then try again. If you start a custom championship, try and just drive the car as mileage gives you upgrades (Check garage / upgrades). The DS3 is 519BHP I think. I was doing ok until the FIA Championship where I was again outrun all the time. I boosted a few races to get the upgrade which is 571BHP i think and the car felt so much better! I'm still finding it hard but there is another upgrade of 600BHP and a weight loss upgrade. Reckon I will be fine then. With the joker, you can either try and use if straight away (Which I advise in the first few championships) but after that you want to consider it on the 2/3rd lap as to build some time in front of the opposition before you take it. Just try and go slow through the joker, they are annoying sections. Keep at it and you will get there!

Is that just digital or disc copies too?

Oh mate. Honestly, if I was going any slower I'd be in reverse. What's happening with those races with the joker laps? Why am I being almost lapped? :disappointed:

Hmmm, I bought a copy of Seb Loeb rally to add to the backlog pile. It's still £44.99 on the PS store as well. I wonder if people actually pay these prices.

For people finding DiRT Rally hard, these are the settings I found on YT which are helping me massively. No oversteer etc! Hope this helps.

I have had a few like this. Thinking you have not done well and coming in a decent position overall. It's frustrating at times but with the right settings it's rewarding.

is Loeb rally as easy as WRC? I hope it isn't anything like Dirt.....which is punishing to say the least!

Excellent price on quite a few there. Gone for Seb Rally as been after it :smiley: completed WRC 5, it's ok but very easy/boring. Also playing DiRT Rally, you have to persevere with it, as the learning curve is massive. Correct settings are a must and you have to stick at. Got the DS3 and got through all the Rallycross to unlock the FIA Championship, I have now realised I have to drive the DS3 a fair bit more to get the upgrades complete as I stand no chance again! Thanks Buzz.

Just ordered Loeb Rally, can't say no at that price. Expect never to actually play it mind you. :laughing:

Ordered battlefront finally bit at this price. I am a PS Plus member so can I do the online stuff with just the base game or do I need the season pass?

EA announced at E3 that the PSVR Star Wars "experience" will be free for owners of Battlefront, so this is a good opportunity to pick up a cheap copy.
