Hi, first post please be kind! Been looking for weeks for a PS4 deal and this one seems to be one of the better ones around at the moment considering the best most major retailers are offering at the moment is £279 for the 500mb console with 1 game.

I noticed this one earlier as well, really tempted to buy. Anyone think any better deals will come along soon or should I just jump on this?

If you haven't bought now then why not just wait for Black Friday or Xmas? Or even better buy a Xbox one!?

Yeah I noticed Xboxes are quite a bit cheaper than Playstations but none of my friends are on Xbox so I'd be pretty lonely if I got one haha. Also I don't really want to wait that late, I'm hoping for one as soon as possible so I have something to do over summer

Bit of a bummer getting an Xbox if you actually like Uncharted as well!

In that case this deal is great, but like I said if you don't have one now then why not wait and see what comes towards the end of the year as the ps NEO is due out then too so prices could tumble.

Personally try to buy the cheaper 500gb version as upgrading the memory is very easy and cheaper to then forking out for the 1tb system.

I've been thinking about doing this, but are there any deals this good or better for the 500GB version?

I don't really care for the Neo so I won't be buying that, but that's a fair point about the regular ps4 prices dropping, I might wait but really I'm just tempted to buy one now in time for summer

Hi OP. It's my sons birthday in a couple of weeks and he wants a PS4. Is this the best deal you've seen since you've been looking or just most recently. I need to start thinking about purchasing. He's going to be 8 so I need to think about any bundled games being suitable or a waste. Many thanks. Heat.

Hi, there was a fantastic deal with Tesco around 6-8 weeks ago for the 500gb console for a similar price but it came with a couple more games and without the PlayStation Plus BUT it expired pretty quickly as I think it was a pricing error/glitch on the website. Since then this has been the best I've seen and I've been holding out as I needed to get one for my boyfriends birthday but now it's a couple of weeks away so I've taken the plunge and gone for it. There seems to be lots of deals on the Xbox One but not much on the PS4. I would say the games probably aren't the most suitable for an 8 year old though.

Very sure there will be with talk neo on horizon think retailers will be trying to fast track their existing stock.

Very cr*p deals floating around for ps4's which is a shame considering the current Xbox deals and the fact that Sony have basically announced the neo unofficially. I'm looking to get a ps4 but am definitely holding fire in the meantime. Heat for the cheapest deal atm but it's just not worth it

I held off for about 2 months for a price drop and it hasn't come and doesn't seem to be coming in the immediate future. Even if there had been something £50 cheaper, that's still 2 months I've missed out on playing with a PS4 so it's all perspective. PS4's have been a lot more successful than the Xbox One's - hence their cheaper price tag. Even if the NEO is released in a couple of months, I don't think it's going to crash the prices of PS4's dramatically as it's going to be a more powerful & expensive upgrade, I think there will be room for both consoles on the market and I think that's Sony's aim.

i'm not necessarily looking for a price drop. Just a decent bundle, similar to the ones Tesco had about a month ago

Yeah that was soon removed - I think that was a pricing error.

I've just ordered a 500gb ps4 with doom, uncharted 4 and ratchet and clank for 299 from shop to, been looking a while and seemed the best deal I could find. Not fussed about the Neo or the 1tb. Only thing was its back order, said they should have in stock early next week so should have delivered by middle of week.
