I have the HD collection on the Vita and playing MGS3 for the first time but I really struggle with the aiming controls. Took the plunge in the PS3 version- hopefully being able to play with a DS4 will help!

Has anyone played this PSN version of Metal Gear Solid 1 and have any feedback? All the others are specifically made for the PS3 (either HD remakes or originals), but MGS 1 is the emulated PS1 game, so just wondering how it fairs in this day and age?

I have this too and Id definitely recommend getting this as it also has the digital graphic novels included on the disc which were only available on the PSP. well worth it

I bought the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection this week for 18.99 (less a discount code they had at the time) from 365Games http://www.365games.co.uk/m/ps3-games/metal-gear-solid-the-legacy-collection-solus-game-ps3--

contains everything from the original Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid, right up to Peace Walker.

The catch is it's the NTSC version, you need a US account to redeem the download codes for some of them. That's not hard to get if you don't have one, and you can play the games on your UK account one they're installed on the PS3.

Worth considering if you want the whole hog for less and don't mind discs.

I still love playing this game once a year. Brings back so many good memories :smile:.

hold up! you can get mgs collection for about 15 quid (features mgs vr missions, mgs 1-4). price that up if you plan to get a few games.

I'd pay a small fortune just to have them ported to Ps4 for convenience.

i think i only paid £3 more for a physical copy of the collection. But if your buying piecemeal or can't get out yeah good prices. especially for the Phantom pain although wasn't it at smyths for a £5 note recently.
