theres the welcome mat on PC so i assume its the same as on console

It's an online only game(apart from garden ops), but on the console there was a welcome mat lobby for new players , is it not the same on PC?

I got this during an Origin Humble Bundle. BUT you can't play this by yourself. has to be online against far more experienced players. WHY ?

Yes you can play alone, choose garden ops from menu then create match then make the permission invite only and start game theres just more choices of game types when playing multi player.
